My first wings Empty My first wings

Post by FUNFACTORY Tue Jun 14, 2011 10:41 am

I was getting ready to pack up at a festival on Sunday and spotted some ladies with halter tops on ,so asked if I could practice on them. The first one said no then the other come over . At least one of them was very drunk so I didn't spend too long on them ,and did think about the placement when I started so they are uneven. Oh well got to start somewhere . Had never done any body painting before.

Nice!..... I like the silver.
Funny - we were all working on the same thing at the same time!
..... ummmm the only suggestion I would have Funfactory is I started at the bottom and worked my way up to keep them in proportion and so I could layer the top feathers over the bottom ones.... that and I think my pathetic attempt at shading actualy helped.
Other then that - I plan on doing more detail like the small cuts in the sides of the feathers to make them look like feathers next time.
Suzy I love that yours look so soft and are butterfly type wings.... I don't think I could pull off that style.

These are my first....
I am not proud of them at all... i just could not get them to look feathery.
Also, I had a moving target. My 3 year old was done after just a few mins and chocolate only held her still for so long....

Niiiice Belinda - I love the colour combinations.
Next time you try and paint your gorgeous 3yr old try getting her to lay down on her tummy, mine stays for longer that way and is soooo much stiller!

Wow! I think you did a great job. I am so impressed as well that you did it right then on the spot with no planing ahead, imagine what you could do next time.

Love all the feathers ladies, what a great way to start!
