Loving all the monsters! Gives me more ideas to try! Hopfully, I can get my husband to be still for me to paint him.

Cool. I like this one! You have a good practice, I guess! It went perfectly, okay! So creative. I never thought it was a monster, I thought it was just a bull with fancy horns! lol Keep it up!

Stacia, love the eyes on your mask! And the colours in Kleophea's one!

Re: My first monster mask
Great monster masks! I love all the variations! It's such a fun basic shape and you can tailor it so easily - more horns, less horns, teeth, hair, texture. I love the blue. I need to do some other colors but the kids always want the one in the pic.
Ever since getting this last pic of my son, it is now my most requested boy face. Good pictures really do make a huge impact - and on that note, IClark, I finally answered your PM (SORRY it took so long - I've been out of town with no internet access!). For anyone else who wonders - I have a few yards of cheap black fabric that I hang over my back door (outside) and stand my model in front of it to shoot the pic. You've got to have natural light to get a good picture, at least if you are like me and don't really know how to properly use a flash. Not direct sunlight, which washes things out, but good ambient light - the kind you get in the shade on a very sunny day.
I crop the pics and add my text in photoshop.

Re: My first monster mask
there is something about painting boys that no matter the age they are always wiggly.
Awesome masks everyone!
the monster mask is my favorite boy mask to do. If in a hurry you can always just do it over one eye or to make it bigger incorporate the whole face. I love the mask because it leaves the mouth open, so they can drink and eat and not mess it up.
