mermaid tattoo

howdy! so freaking excited booked to get a new tattoo of jasmine becket-griffith's triple mermaid's. been looking for ages for just the right mermaids for my next tattoo as i wanted to represent my 3 daughters, when BAM i came across her web site in my google search. so i went ahead and booked to get it done on the 24th june(earliest he can get me in) so now i just have to wait. just a tad nervous reckons it will take between 3 and 5 hours. i am also changing the colours to my daughter's fav's and matching with my girls hair colour and eye's. Paige my 5 yr chose Aqua, then chelsea my 12 yr chose dark purple and Holly my 9 yr chose hot pink so should look awesome, also going to be about 6 inches in hight eeeek.lol
so tell me what ya think and wish me luck lol.
ps. her fairy's remind me so much of kim's don't ya think? no wonder i fell in love with it!

SOOOOO Cute! I love big eyed elves and fairies!!! These are adorable! I just googled that artists name and I LOVE that! Mine are mostly my take on Elfquest (with much tinkering) but I think this lady has me running for my paintbrushes! I predict a 'shift' in my fae peeps! Thanks for posting!

I just love these so much that once I see something that influences me, it is 'stuck' in the brain but almost hidden. BUT this I will remember where it comes from! I just snagged a bunch for my 'inspire' file! I am pretty sure one of them will sneak out sooner than later! LOL

What a nice tattoo! Where do you put it? On your shoulder? I like the combination of colours, I often use that for butterflies.

i am having it put on my back left shoulder. i already have 2 other little tattoos one on my right back shoulder and one on my left boob lol. but they are tiny little things compared to what i am getting so nervous about the time it will take but hopefully wont hurt too much my girls are pretty excited about me getting it as well, they know how much i love this sort of thing as i have quite a few piercings and the other tattoo's plus have been looking for and saving all year for this one. the only worry i had about them choosing there colours is if they all chose pink blech lol, thank god they had good taste hehe. any way will get my aunt to take the step by step process when it gets done so i can show you all how it went.

Tattoo is awesome. I'm sure your girls are just as excited as you are. They probably can't wait to see it and check out the mermaid that represents each one of them. That's very cool!

the colours will deepen a bit more than in the pics as it heals

My company colours are purple and red - are you saying I'm 'bleck'?! Haha I kid.

feels like really bad sunburn at the moment. don't think i will line up to get another this size again. did i mention it hurt ALOT lol. I'm such a wuss.i will post another pic in a week or two when it has healed properly should look much better by then.

I didn't find it was the pain that got me, it's the one thing NO ONE told me about....the mad mad '500 million misquito bites in one spot' ITCHING and you can't touch it/scratch it or you can cause infection or pull out ink!! Made me crazy!!!!

That is gorgeous! and SO fitting for someone with 3 daughters...I am a huge lovers of tattoos and have been struggling with trying to find something to represent my 4 kids (2 girls 2 boys) that can go together into one design. If they were all girls it would be so much easier, flowers, butterflies ect. would all work lol
