Lisa Joy Young has a video (as do tons of others) where they make splits, and so I tried to make my own. THE PAINT ALL CRUMBLED!! (Please note, it was 80+ degrees today and even though its dropped its been humid all week. Did that cause the problem?) I was trying to make diamond fx metallix splits. What am I doing wrong?

I think others have mentioned this and have stated to dampen it some what and just squish it together. Or maybe its the other way around. I do know it fairly common, especially with metalic colors.

I just made my first split cake about a month ago... I noticed that too... I think next time I am going to try to dampen the top close it up and let it sit for about 20 mins... just long enough to dry a little... Let me know if you find a great way to get around the crumbling... Smile
