Alright, so I am looking into this line.
My current metallics are all from wolfe and they are AMAZING. I LOVE them. Great coverage, easy loading, amazing colors, I could not ask for more.

That being said, I am going to buy another 12 metallic cakes to cut up and make into split cakes. I am looking at kryolan instead of wolfe atm because of the price.
If I pay an extra 2 bucks (per color) I can have almost double the paint.

NOW!!! After all that text, here is my question...
Do you recommend the interferenze line for split cakes that are going to be almost exclusively brushed on?

(I have heard that the interferencolors look much more opaque when you vigorously sponge them on but these splits probably won't be touched by a sponge)

Um, while I love Interferenz and cornered the market on Bach Blue, I would have to say in all honesty, that using ONLY Interferenz in a split cake that you intend to BRUSH apply would not be very satisfying.

The Interferenz are lovely colours BUT not known for being great for brushwork (Bronze being the one possible exception).

The best application method is working them into a creamy consistency and applying rather heavily with a sponge...

I have used SOME Interferenz in a few of my split cakes (Bach Blue!) and it will work as the shimmer and color blends with the colours on each side...

The metallic colours are tricky too... but MAY work with a brush in a split but would also need a lot of water and need to be worked to really load up the brush to get decent coverage.

But that being said, if you want a nice multicolour shimmer base for fairies or unicorns, it would be really pretty but soft. But if you want bold, bright sparkly rainbow strokes I'd use Snaz Sparkles - they are very bright and apply easily and are less expensive than the other options.

I too love Interfrenz but it not made for what most folks are doing with split cakes the aka trademarked OneStroke. If that is what you are thinking, pass.
You can do it with matte Aquacolors.

If you want wonderful, consistent makeup that applies nicely with a high density sponge, body or kabuki brush do not hesitate to try the Interferenz line.

Like all makeups it has its own learning curve - which once mastered makes for a very happy painter, and lovely coverage.
