Mandi inspired fairy with tulips
Sooo, all the glitter sniffing going on inspired me to try a fairy but I chose to use tulips in honor of the soldiers who liberated the home towns of my parents and siblings (Bedum and Groningen). This is my first attempt at both tulips and a fairy but I am fairly pleased with how it turned out for a first try.

Wooohooo Gr8ful I'm with excitment. You have done a gorgeous job both with the tulip & your sweet little fairy. You should be very proud of yourself
Re: Mandi inspired fairy with tulips
Am I allowed to say I love you? You are so sweet to say that. Thank you VERY much Mandi. Your explanation of the fairy body helped a lot. (((hugs)))

Re: Mandi inspired fairy with tulips
Awwww Judy, she is so beautiful, you did a wonderful job and now I have to say "SHUT UP" because you deserve it
Re: Mandi inspired fairy with tulips
Thank you Maggie. The transition from paper to skin is challenging but I am having a blast learning. All those simple (read ...bad,,,) little cheek ones that I did over the years are gone forever. Now that I know what REAL face and body artists can do, I will try to hold back the uncertainty I feel and just do it.

Re: Mandi inspired fairy with tulips
Yes Yes Yes Judy it was Daizy's explanation that I cut & pasted in the thread. Not mine I just tried to paint what she was explaining and then went on a fairy adventure.
Daizy I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding. I hope you will understand.

This is what I cut & pasted in the other fairy thread.
[quote="Mandi from Tazzie"]When I was trying to get my head around painting a fairy I read Daizy's comments here:

The only way I have managed to get around painting people is to cover up most of them. The face I leave blank and paint hair across it. Mostof the body I try to hide under clothing and arms I just do 2 teardrops and a blob for the hand.
I'll see if I can paint another fairy tomorrow, I had to go out today so didn't have time.
