Eye design for people with glasses
I'm wearing glasses and my favorite designs to do on myself are eyedesigns. Usually I paint myself during the carnaval-time ans I don't like paint near my mouth or nose. So cheek and eye. My forehead isn't a huge one so little space there.
Anyway,,,
I'm looking for eyedesigns wich are to be seen even when the glasses are on the nose!
Help!

Re: Eye design for people with glasses
This is a difficult one for me too. I usually just paint and when someone asks, I have to take my glasses off to show them the design, it gets old. I am afraid of contacts (I don' like them much anyway) because I am afraid to get paint in them. I have been trying to think of designs that go around the glasses instead of right around the eye.

Re: Eye design for people with glasses
I don't know, the dark, chunkier style glasses have been in style for the past few years. Mine are darker too. It does make it difficult and hard to come up with designs that work with them.

Re: Eye design for people with glasses
I wear glasses also. I just paint the designs so there's no black or dark colored paint where the glasses rest(the area on each side of the bridge of the nose). The only thing that really smears bad is black. I've gotten pretty good at this since I need my glasses to get to my gigs.
Re: Eye design for people with glasses
those are pretty, Linda. For me, it's not so much the dark colors competing with the glasses, it's being able to see the design with the glasses on. I like all the swirly pretty delicate designs, but I realize they might not work with glasses. I painted buttlerflies on the sides of my eyes one night and I had to take my glasses off each time someone wanted to see them. Does anyone know if I should be afraid of contacts with the paint, especially for practicing and washing my face alot? I guess I could use make up remover cloths, which I use alot anyways.

Re: Eye design for people with glasses
that's exactly what I mean Fluttersby. Being able to see the design with the glasses on; it should look good to be your own advertisement.
My forehead isn't a large one so no room there. Guess I need to paint on my cheeks more.

Re: Eye design for people with glasses
Never forget how great necks, and collars are- If you can paint steady- having beautiful jewelry painted on can sometimes convince other adults watching you paint their kid- that they want to be painted. Also- painting your forearms can be great- keep it high enough that it won't smear when you wash your hands, but when you are painting your arms are flying all around and people can definitely notice your work.
Hope that helps!

It just seems that there should be some, and I am constantly trying to come up with some, not just for me, but for kids with glasses too, so that they can have pretty eye and face designs that can be seen while wearing their glasses.

Re: Eye design for people with glasses
people who ware glasses have to darken there eyemake up.
never use metallic colours because it really looks weird when someone put there glasses on.
try it
try to match your eye design with the color of the glasses .
model it just from the corner of the eye and up.
yikes what a terrible sentence.

even zo dat gaat iets sneller haha .
ik bedoel dat je je model vanuit de ooghoek omhoog laat lopen , niets beneden de bril [/dutch-modus]

Re: Eye design for people with glasses
translate; from the corner of the eye up, nothing on the cheeks.
That's an idea. i tend to sweat a lot so it will come off. Doesn't mean that others have the same problem.
I do paint my arms when I'm working. It's not only for work-time; also for during the carnaval.
I like the necklace-idea! I'll try that soon.
When it's sunny, do you get a white necklace afterwards haha?!
