Re: face painting people with glasses
If it's a girl I offer her a crown - I do about 5 different ones so they are usual happy with it - for boys (and girls if they don't want a crown) I just ask them to take them off while I paint them..... I have seen some VERY cute tigers and puppies with glasses!

hahaha I just ask them to take them off and when I'm done, put them back on. I don't really worry about it if they don't

Re: face painting people with glasses
Thank you so much. You all have been so wonderful! July 15,16,17 My church will have a booth at the Porter Peach Festival in Porter, OK. We will be selling peach salsa, jelly & jam. I will be face painting for donations. I want to use my part to send the youth to church camp next year. We have around 10 youth. My family attended the festival last year and there was a carnival with rides lots of craft booths but no face painting. If I can get a couple faces to paint, I can get a wealth of experience.
My first time painting was at the may Relay for Life event in Okmulgee, Ok. I am a 11 year ovarian cancer survivor and my team (OIHC) needed an on site fundraiser so we sold balloons and I face painted (tried) for the very first time. I painted 5 children. It was difficult. The sun went down at 9:30 and our team did not have a generator so I painted by flashlight for the last 30 min. The excitement & joy of these children had me hooked!
I need to purchase different paint before the Peach Festival because what I used for Relay 4 Life was snazaroo, a creamy type paint in little tubs. It was very hard to use. It was all I could find at the time it was last min. idea & 3 days to prepare..YIKES!
I have been on the net searching and I am excited to try new products. I have been watching the amazing videos here, reading the posts and searching the gallery for ideas. Wow you all are OUTSTANDING !!! The talent blows my mind! You have such a gift & are truly a blessing to all you meet.
Thank you all so much. If you get a chance...come to Porter, Oklahoma for the Peach Festival. Free peaches and ice cream on Sat at 1pm

Re: face painting people with glasses
My daughter as well. The only thing I may do differently is not put too much detail where the nose pieces sit, because the glasses will slide and smear.

Agreed, I paint as normal and avoid the bridge of the nose where the glasses sit.

Re: face painting people with glasses
I wear glasses & just don't paint the area that the nose piece rests on. I make sure to use bold enough colors to pop past my glasses. Oh, & don't let the child set down the glasses or you'll end up w/ a collection at the end of the day

Re: face painting people with glasses
It shouldn't make a difference to what you paint. Modern glasses generally have thin frames and the on;y part touching the face is the rests either side of the nose.
I usually wear glasses to my day painting job as my eyes get too tired in contacts, and i paint normal designs on me.
