Yeah~~ My first big event went GREAT!!! Pics

Wooo Hooo... I got thru my first big event with flying colors!!! I had at least 50 people in line at all times until about an hour after the event was over!!! I still painted for about 2 hours after the event finished!! It was freaking cold as hell but it was wonderful seeing all the kids leave with the biggest grins ever!!! The last person I did was a teenager, and she was sooo happy with the face that you could literally see the back teeth I did a few new designs. The first pic is the teenager... The second is one of the new designs I did... and unfortunately my daughter didn't get very many pics... I got really upset... but oh well... I only painted one of the bunnies... but I did like 25 of my little teardrop butterflies.... and then quite a few dolphins, and starbursts...anyway heres my pics... enjoy!!!

They all look great. They are very nice and clean and crisp, I know you must have been going at a fast pace with that many in line but they are all very neatly done.

Was it a pay per face? Just curious as you stayed 2 hours after the event. That is crazy. But, if you were charging per face....I don;t blame you. Welcome to the world of super long lines.

Thank you everyone for your kind words!!! I loved it, didn't really have time to really enjoy the kids smiles after but it was incredible!!! I just don't feel like I was really ready speed wise! And my little girls designs but it was a great !st big event!!! I hope to have a ton more!!! And for Easter I ended up painting my sister in law and after they saw me painting her they started asking me to "fix" what they had done... so I ended up fixing about 5 "demons" and about 6 "angels" for their drama departments Easter production. Which ended giving me another job this coming saturday!!! I am pretty stoked about that one!!!


Ashley, as far as the ninja turtle... I usually just do the face too... but this cheek art came from a clip art off a phone... They asked specifically for that one.... They showed me the pic and I painted it. And it actually went really fast... so it was cool~

Yes it was!!! I totally would of left 2 hours sooner if it wasn't!!!! LOL

LOL!! Absolutely!!!! I was really amazed that people stayed 2 hours after the event!! Not to mention... People were really ticked about how the event went and several people made it a point to tell me that the face painting was the best thing about the entire event!!! I was exstatic that everyone was soooo happy about what I was doing!!!

My first event is next sunday. I'm getting payed for the first time "on my own". I have done theatre shows wich is different than kids faces the whole day. I'm nervous and keep looking on the designs on the forum. I'm really looking foreward tot is but actually I'm scared as hell. What if they hate my work? What if it doesn't come out the way I want?
I'm working with two other painters so I allways can blame them...
We are no professional painters (I'm a teacher with 4-5-6 year olds) so we are getting things organised at the moment; mirrors, chairs, tables.

I don't think I have the time to make pictures but maybe I will, if so; I'll show them here
