Face Painting makes me feel GREAT! (Long and lot of pics)
I know for most of you face painting at a large event is so featureless but for me, pagan and no-pro, having the chance to paint at a festival is unusual... and GREAT! so I really had to share it. I was told to paint for the European Day today and the town hall asked me to make an specific board for the event. I thought "Really? Do you think a little girl would ask for a "Europe map" or a "CEE symbol" when she can get a wonderful PINK BUTTERFLY on her face?". Anyway I did it and guess what, I painted ZERO Europe maps and tons of butterflies and fairy masks. Of course none of the boys got the " € symbol" or any of the european monuments I had on the menu board, but dozens of skulls, scars and tribal dragons (Oh, surprise, surprise ). I had an AMAZING day and I have to say I'm so jealous of all of you who are able to live from FPing. I wish it was as popular in Spain as is in your countries and people were willing to pay for it. Happy and frustrated this is how I feel today
Anyway, here are a few pics I took before the line was too long:
The event was by the sea and it was a wonderful sunny day (Yes, I my town. And pay attention to my super fashion tall chair )
Almost every teen-adult women wanted "the same you painted on your arm" Happily it was a fast and easy swirly design. I painted it with and without the butterfly
And here are some fairy masks:
And finally this funny man asked for a "flowers/butterflies design". He loved it and he came back later to get "another flowers design, pleeeaseee". I thought about Michelle's tribal roses and he was really happy with it. Love you guys!

Pilerata,
Sounds like a wonderful day! The girls and your young man seem delighted with your beautiful designs. And I love your stylish chair.

LOVELY designs, especially those for the arm! Love the stacked chairs! How ingenious, I never would have thought of that! What a beautiful area you live in! I'm jealous!

It's the Mediterranean Sea! I didn't dare to but some people were having a bath today! I took a photo from the other side, too

I don't really can believe how you can be so good if you barely have a chance to practice, you line work is so clean.

Luz, I usually use my tighs to practice my line work and rarely my 7 y.o. accepts my bribes to paint him. But I wish wish WISH I had more chances to practice on real canvas
Tara, I would have painted anything he wanted ANYWHERE he wanted, he was so funny...and so HOT!
Katerra, so glad you liked my cookies. I did some new designs using "fondant" for Sant Valentine's Day and weddings and other celebrations. I'll see if I find some pics, just to make you drool LOL

Fantastic job with your fairy mask. Beautiful teardrops!
Re: Face Painting makes me feel GREAT! (Long and lot of pics)
Pilareta, you are in a unique position. You have the opportunity to practically be the inventor of face painting in your region. You can really take it someplace if you are truly inspired to.
And they will never pay for it f you always offer it for free, right?

Re: Face Painting makes me feel GREAT! (Long and lot of pics)
Okay - how badly would I love to do an international face painter exchange program! I'll host a face painter here and you can have a crack at painting the Portland population and I'll have a crack at sun-bathing face painting by the Mediterranean.
Re: Face Painting makes me feel GREAT! (Long and lot of pics)
great faces and great idea on the chair!
Re: Face Painting makes me feel GREAT! (Long and lot of pics)
Aaaaaw, thanks, guys! I sometimes forget how lucky I am to live in a place like this (My melted Snaz don't like hot and wet Mediterranean weather though ). I'd die for a jam with you so if you think of spending some days over here I'll be more than happy to find a cheap and cute little hotel for you and you're invited to eat our famous PAELLA (Ask our members from the Netherlands, I'm pretty sure they know paella and sangria, LOL).
Tuli, where are your grandparents from? Do you speak Spanish? I'd love reading some Spanish words on the forum, just to give my brain a rest from struggling with my English LOL

Re: Face Painting makes me feel GREAT! (Long and lot of pics)
¡GRACIAS! THANK YOU! Such a nice surprise reading your post, Tuli. I went to S.Sebastian 3 years ago and I LOVED it! It's a great place to taste delicious meals (I got 3 kg in only 2 weeks, LOL) but I wasn't able to have a bath in the cold Cantabric Ocean (and I went in July!). And thanks for your kind words about my English, may be this forum is not improving only my skills but my English too (I WISH! )
