Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
I have been to a workshop by the Wolfe brothers last saturday. It was great. I already read on this forum they are kind, patient, funny etc. etc. and it is all so true! We had a great day. I learned so very much and they have so much fun in what they do and it shows. It doesn't mind if you're a beginner or more skilled. Everybody had a great time. At the end of the day they painted everybody who wasn't painted yet. Here are some pictures of the workshop. I don't put close up pictures on the forum of other people painted, because I don't know if they are allright with that. I think they will be put on internet soon, then I will post the link.

Nancy I am so jealous! I have always wanted to go to a Wolfe class! I've been meaning to for so long, but life just decides it's gonna get in the way But hopefully once I"m done with this degree I'm working on and get a good paying job I'll be able to go!

Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
Thanks for sharing!
Brian and Nick are wonderful
My first ever face painting class was a 2 day workshop last July with Brian Wolfe -- and beyond what I learned -- had he not been so encouraging and nice, I may not have continued on this path. I feel so blessed to have taken classes with them. I'll mention that I drove 8 hours to go that workshop and it was so worth it, so if any of you are on the fence about doing it, I'd say go for it!!!
And for those who have gone to a Wolfe workshop, please keep sharing the pics!

Oh Punky, wish you could have gone to their workshop. I'm sure your turn will come. I read in another thread you are close to your degree if I understood wright? When you have a job I think you will be there too and you will appreciate it so much!
I can imagine it's hard when you read all about workshops, fabaic etc on this forum. You are such a positive thinking person!
Thankx Ruth: They know how to make a woman look good! Some higlighting and shadowing on the wright spot...tada!
Michelle, you are so wright about the feeling they give you. No matter how good or bad your skills, they make it special.

Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
they are really great to work with..I took their class in vegas was great
Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
they are the NICEST guys I've ever met.... it seems like such an unusual thing to say about a teacher, you wouldn't think it mattered so much but it is just such an overwhelming part of the experience of taking a Wolfe Brothers class.
Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
I'd go to another of their classes in a heartbeat!! I enjoyed everything about the day, without question.
I wish I could make swirls and curls as smooth and effortlessly as they do - I sure need to keep practicing!!!
Here is a pic of the face they did on my daughter, it was AMAZING!![img][/img]

Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
Skidzz, if you ever get the opportunity, go for it!! I felt it was worth every penny.
They do list their schedule here (I see they will be in Colorado later this month!!):

Sometimes people will list information about upcoming workshops in the Training section here on the forum, so keep an eye out there too.

Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
I can vouch for the experience too. I went to see them about a month ago. Workshop was a little pricey, but I was encouraged to go and am not at all sorry I did.
They did some excellent theory on facial structure and paint design....amazing foundation stuff if you're newer at this. (very easy to understand) Then teh second part of the day they put it all into practice on us....teaching while they were painting. Usually one of them painted and talked about the whats and whys of what he was doing, while the other circulated around the room working one on one with you, or just showing you a better way to do something.
Worth every penny and a life-changer if you're really nuts about face painting.
Plus i gotta get one of those practice faces they use. So much better than the rubber mannequin head Ive been using.

Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
btw...Nick made my sugarskull..I asked for something funky girlie skull...
Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
It looks fantastic everytime someone shows or tells about classes with Nick or Brian. I wish Denmark had a market for them so they would show up here .
Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
apparently the netherlands have a very big market for such a little country...and has lots of (good) bodypaintingartists...The Wolfe brothers stated the Netherlands belonged to the top 3 countries in face and bodypainting..
Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
When we saw them, they were just about to head off to the Netherlands actually.
Hey Michelle, where does the sugarskull idea come from? Is it from a cartoon or something? I've seen a few lately and am wondering where it originates from.

Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
I think it's a Mexican thing?? Something about the day of the dead?
Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
yes..it's a day of the dead thing...in mexico it's a sort of holiday..and they also make these sugarskulls...
Re: Workshop by the Wolfe brothers
Lonnie, maybe it sounds strange, but it isn't a very, very long drive from Denmark to the Netherlands. I think about 700/800 km. depending where you live in Denmark. I heard the European convention will be in The Netherlands next year. (in Almere, on the north side of the country) That means 5 days of painting, workshops etc. Maybe worthwhile for you to think about? Here is the link:
