tingling tongue n lips?

hey all! I painted my face today as well as my lips and for the last few hours my lips and tip of my tongue are numb and tingling? even now and i washed the design off about 40min ago... anyone else have that happen before? i have painted myself dozens of times before but this never happened, but i usually dont paint my lips much... just curious

check and see if the color has warnings about do not paint on lips. I have a blue that I used once and I had the same reaction

it was wolfe purple#78 and pink #32 will wait a few days and try again and see. Do you guys generally use face paint on the lips? i find lately that it finishes off a design so nicely especially my butterflies, but wondered if perhaps a really bright lipgloss might be better? i found packages of lipgloss sticks really cheap at avon by the bag, though it probably wouldnt stay on long.... what do you guys use?

I don't ever do the lips just because I don't want then coming back 50 times to get it redone

I don't paint lips I use gloss on the lips with a q tip. If I use a spong on a child I will sometimes sponge on a color especially when I use a rainbow cake and wan the rainbow on the lips as well like I did in this pic...

very easy to sponge on but I definitely will not use a brush

I only paint the lips on animals(tigers, puppies, etc). Especially during cold season. I use a q-tip for lips.
I've never had that reaction. I've gotten neons in my eyes & had them burn before(I'm seriously considering removing them from my working kit).
