How dark is Paradise Dark Green?
Is Paradise Dark Green a versatile green? I have the Amazon Green but don't think it is quite green enough for monster faces and such. What do you all think? Is it too dark? It would help if you could think of a good comparison that I can relate to that would help me know if it is the color I am looking for. Computer screens are very misleading... that's how I ended up with Coral!
Thanks.

Re: How dark is Paradise Dark Green?
Hiya,
I cannot really answer your question, but it is good you posted. Now having read the answers for "coral" I feel better with it, but am also thinking about a tropical rainbow cake to make from it.
Hope you get lots of great answers. I am SURE someone will post an answer. If not, you may also consider contacting the product person at Mehron. She was awesome and taught me how to use the triple loader brush over the phone!

Also, I have to add that if you buy paradise, you must check out the prices on http://madhattermagicshop.com. They are $5.85 and $6.82 for regular and metallic. I have shopped from them before. They have LOTS of stuff we use for much less.
I just can't belive that mehron suggest the retail at almost $10 per cake and Silly Farm is selling them for $8.50. Crazy!

Re: How dark is Paradise Dark Green?
I was very lucky and found Madhatters when I placed the order for my kit. I may have found that info here while lurking!
BTW, do you have any of the metallic colors? Like them?
About the green. I love the Amazon Green and will use it plenty but want a green green too. I just can't tell if the Dark Green is more of a Hunter Green or more of a primary green.
Thanks for the Mehron contact info.

Re: How dark is Paradise Dark Green?
I have the blue, hot rod red and the green metallic. The greens and reds are supposed to be "must have" for Christmas, but I didn't really work must through the holidays and did really give them a try. I love paradise because they activate really well and you don't have to work them very much. Though, I find that you really need to use all brands to get what you are looking for. Though if I could only use two brands it would be paradise and dfx. Only one, well that would be painful!
So much paint, just not enough money.

Re: How dark is Paradise Dark Green?
The dark green (Paradise) is very dark. It applies 'dark' like the amazon green cake looks. The amazon green 'applies' lighter. If that makes sense.
I like the dark green for doing the deeper shadowy areas of leaves...with amazon being a 'middle tone' and then applying lime to highlight and a touch of yellow.
So I would get the dark green if you want a nice dark color...it is about two shades darker than the amazon.

Thanks Heather. That is a great description and it sounds like what I'm looking for. I know what you mean about the Amazon green.

Re: How dark is Paradise Dark Green?
I just yanked it from my kit, I just was hardly using it. Doing mostly kids at restaurants and parties - they like the brighter colors for most of their designs. It is very dark - and having 2 Paradise pallettes (A & B) =realized I was overloading on the greens!
