Have I found a family or what! Empty Have I found a family or what!

Post by jacana Thu Feb 24, 2011 1:24 am

I painted my first face in elementary school, bought my first snazaroo kit for $55 on amazon for a charity I volunteered at two years ago. My husband quit his job, so we could start a face painting company. 8 months later, we are still going strong. I knew I liked face painting from the beginning , but I didn't know I LOVED face painting until I started seeing all the wonderful things painters like the rest of you can do. Every time I get asked if I am an "artist" at an event- implying that what I am doing doesn't quite count I chuckle inside- thinking if they only knew. I feel like in the past year I have discovered a hidden world, where magic really does exist. Can anyone relate? Thanks for having such an accessible and welcoming forum. I am Laura, by the way. Jacana is a lovely bird that lives in the tropics, which I fell in love with doing field work in college, and is consequently the name of my business.
