LOL! Actually, I'm up for anything. I've been having fun lately just painting whatever I want.
I know this is late, but I just felt like painting them:

Re: Please join us on the "Weekly Animal Challenge"
So here is another challenge idea
I was chatting with MichelleLA and this idea came up, we would love your input
The challenge would be "party theme" based and the goal would be to come of with cool designs that fit the theme that could be painted in 5-10 minutes. Including step by steps would be encouraged (or at least written pointers on how to do the design and paints/brushes used).
We would have a list of themes of popular parties for example:
Harry Potter (from the entire series)
Super Heroes
Bakcugan
Rock Star
Mardigras/Carnival
Pirates
Tea party
80's
pokeman
etc.
The "rules" would be that the challenge stays on the same theme until there are at least 6 boy designs and 6 girl design if the theme lends itself to both genders, or at least 10 designs if it is mainly for one gender or a gender neutral theme.
Anyone can continue to add designs after the minimum but when we reach the minimum, we repost the general challenge "rules" and list of "party theme" idea in a new thread and start the next theme with the "Challenge Theme" clearly listed in the title for easy searches in the future. Anyone can add themes to the list -- the possibilities are endless.
Previously posted designs can be included, since this challenge is meant to create a resource for us to all use in the future, when the dreaded theme party is booked However, if for example, someone already posts a "batman" version for super heroes, it would be great if others pick a different super hero to tackle for the challenge unless their version is substantially different.

Re: Please join us on the "Weekly Animal Challenge"
NOT! The one thing about painting on myself I hate the most is I notice all the problems with my skin! The rainbow gecko was on my leg, and I photoshoped the skin a bit. ...and can't you see the wrinkles on the back of my hand. I never realized I was getting wrinkles on the back of my hand until I started painting on it. YUCK! Not fair! ...you're not supposed to have wrinkles there!Lauri Strandell wrote:AArrgg! NOT fair!

Great idea Maggie and Michelle!
I would add a few I've done:
Spongebob!
Tinkerbell
Ariel
Littlest Pet Shop
Jungle

Re: Please join us on the "Weekly Animal Challenge"
I love the party theme idea. Last year I painted at the 1st annual GeekFest in Killeen, TX, and needed to come up with a series of "Geeky" face designs. If focused on super heroes and villains of course but it would be nice to have some new ones for this year. LOVE IT!
Re: Please join us on the "Weekly Animal Challenge"
OK -- I'm here.
Gina and Lauri -- glad you like the idea
Angela -- Slow is relative...and improves with time and practice! It took me at least 50 minutes on my first face paint tries
This is not intended to be a "speed" challenge -- just a realistic one assuming that at parties, many painters aim for a 5-10 minute design. Of course, any design can be fancied up when time permits.
CC --"Something super useful that we can all refer to down the road" -- You got it
I'm excited too... especially that it is "open ended" -- and anyone can add designs as long as they want. The "quota" is just what triggers the start of the new theme.
