Hello from Pennsylvania
Hello. I am new to face painting and the forum. I used to do it on the kids I babysat and the parents told me I should try doing it for real. So I am just starting. I have my first party in two weeks for the family that told me I should do it. I am a little nervous. I am not really skilled yet. My faces probably take a little longer than a pro. But I am trying. Any advice on time management cause I am a lil bit of a perfectionist or even painting would be helpful. I know a butterfly may seem simple to all of you but for some reason I am not liking the ones I make. I don't know if its me just trying to hard or I am just not very well at them. Well thanks for your time.

Welcome!
If you feel comfortable, show us a butterfly and we can help you make improvements. I've only seen kind, helpful, constructive comments on posts asking for help on this forum!

I agree with Gina... since I joined just over a week ago (I think) everyone has been really helpful and non-judgemental. I'm new to face painting too so any ideas are good ones. Welcome!

Welcome!
If I can give you some advice, you could make the lines in your designs (the tiger) a bit thinner and for the base I would use softer colors.
That makes the designs a bit softer.
Just practice a lot!!!!!!
There are many videos on youtube, you can learn a lot of those.
I also started that way.

Welcome to the forum! I just looked at your pictures and I think they are great. I totally agree with Anita on using the softer colors for bases.
Have fun and good luck with your party! Let us know how it goes.

Thank you all for your kind words and tips. I'm not sure where blairsville is and I think York is pretty far from me or else I would be there. I am in Bucks County.

Re: Hello from Pennsylvania
Welcome! I think you have a great start on your butterfly! Along with the other suggestions made, my suggestion would be to buy good quality face painting sponges and start using those! Those have changed my art dramatically from when I started. And don't be afraid to spoonge around the eyes, it will make it a more solid design.
These ladies are all very helpful here, so dive in!
