How to approach leaving your Biz Cards at local establishments?

Hi All,

I have come up with what I feel is a long list of places that my target market might patronize.

Now my questions are :

What literature can I leave for them to see? (cards, brochures, something else?)

Where should I leave it?

And finally, how should I approach asking the establishments to display my cards etc.? What can I really offer to them for keeping and displaying my things?

Depends whether your services could be perceived as competition?

If not, provide acrylic holders for your business cards and brochures, with a sticker on them indicating they belong to you and to call you for refills. Take them to these places, ask for the manager and explain what you want. If you have the material, in a stand, ready to set out for their customers I don't see why they would turn you down.

Around here there are always cards and flyers at the cashiers in small businesses for other businesses.

Same here. Most businesses around here are willing to display them. I usually introduce myself to the owner. I bring business cards, brochures, postcards, coupons....then see what they would like to display.
