Please help my kids' school!!

My kids go to a school where the playground is almost completely concrete and both of the two play structures have been declared unsafe and no one can use them. They have entered a contest where we can get a grant for the entire cost of redoing their playground and all we need is for as many people as possible to go to the site and vote once a day for ten days. I voted too. I'll try to remember to do it every day but it would be helpful if this thread gets bumped regularly.

Last year I voted on a submission from our community to start a soup kitchen. It didn't make it to the semi-finals. I just checked for this year, and we had a few submissions but none of them made it either. I didn't hear about it this year till now, though. I think that word just doesn't get out enough. It would be great if you could get some local press or a mention on the news. And don't forget to share it on Facebook!

Yesterday the entire school paraded down the street from the school to the nearby park giving out cards... we got two tv stations and the newspaper out!

We're really hoping to get this thing going viral so we can make it!!

yes, you have to register but it's just with your email... if you are signed in to vote it should say in big numbers at the top right, you have 9/10 votes left or something similar as your votes get used. You can only vote once a day, but there are more than ten days in the voting, so even if you get a late start, you should still be able to get all your votes in.

Sorry I've been away for a bit on this one... I've been terribly sick and made myself worse on Sunday working 2 1/2 hrs at a corporate FPing gig then did a big party for an hour and a half with all rambunctious boys and now I'm a mess. (But the money was worth it LOL)
