Re: Fatmax as a table??
Rebecca your set up is really awesome. Do you just sit out your regular pallets or are they on a base of some sort? Also, how in the world do you get your umbrella to stand up? Is it attached in some way to your fat max?
Re: Fatmax as a table??
Wow!! thanks so much Rebecca. By the way just wanted to say that I've been stalking ur website lol Im a fan! love, love ur work...it is very unique and beautiful after x-mas Im going to purchase ur DVD...to bad I can't take classes with u, it would be amazing but ur so far and I know u will be in FL for the convention but right now for me that is just way out of my budget. Hope I learn lots from ur DVD
Re: Fatmax as a table??
thanks you guys
i tape the umbrella to my directors chair using duct tape
some times i just clip it with those large clips from the dollar store if it's not too windy
i had a piece of banester cut to fit just under the lid of the fat max.
i painted it black, and it gives extra support to the two laptops i place on the open lid
there are a lot of u tubes that i've made that have some of the same info as the dvd;)
i really need to update my site! thanks again;)

Where would I find these? Do you have your own channel or are these in conjunction with Heather?

Re: Fatmax as a table??
wow! if I had seen this post 2 weeks ago, I would have 'suggested' santa bring me one.
As a henna artist, I have gone through all types of carrying tools and never really liked any one of them 100%. Nothing has withstood the travel and wear-n-tear. I have broken/destroyed many boxes. This is perfect!
I love that this can be turned into a work station, so amazingly cool. I am curious about the top surface/working area. Are people able to secure the laptop cases or is everything just set on top.
I have huge worry that I would knock the top over...cuz I'm graceful like that

Re: Fatmax as a table??
Mine is not secured, so I always try to corner it, so I'm between the kit & the kids. BTW, I'm lovin' your kissing dragon avatar!
Re: Fatmax as a table??
Thanks Psalmbook, or Linda...what do I call you?

Re: Fatmax as a table??
I never heard of the fat mat, that is really cool, maybe could have saved me the trouble of making this rolling folding table...lol
(i still like it though)

Re: Fatmax as a table??
wow PaintandGlitter your set up is soooooo pretty and clean! Do the paints store in the case?
The split cakes...are the ones on the left all Prisma? and the littler ones on the right Arty Cakes?
I'm drooling.

Re: Fatmax as a table??
they are a mix or prisma and dfx split cakes, the only prisma in this pic is the larger one in red/whites/ and greens. the rest are DFX, the paints store in the case, so I just have to take out the water and close it up for the most part, I am in process of making a lighter version,

My email's been Psalmbook for years, so I thought I was submitting that when I signed up for the forum. I had no clue it'd become my "name". But, it's a good name.
Linda is fine too

Re: Fatmax as a table??
LOL I asked for two thing...a Fatmax and anything from Tiffany's. I got the Fatmax and a new IMAC computer, but no jewelry. I guess it gets in the way of painting anyway

Re: Fatmax as a table??
paint n glitter ur set up is great! it seems u use a lot of DFX can I ask what is ur prefer method of wetting ur paint?
Re: Fatmax as a table??
Rmplmintz taught me her trick: make a little "tabletop" out of folded cardboard (or anything). Punch 2 holes in them, and ring small bungee cords through these holes and the other end of the bungees holds on to the bottom of the *top* part of the FatMax (when opened). Hmmmm, it is hard to explain, I will have to take a pic tomorrow and upload it!
