Hiya from the UK
I'm Jo or Squeak...long story. I've been painting and entertaining in the UK for about 9 years or so. I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few of the talented US painters such as Nick and Brian, Mark Reid,Gary Cole,Paul Chuddy, Pashur,Marcela and plenty others at international conventions and festivals here in the UK. I'm hoping to get across the pond and meet more of you at one of the ginormous conventions in the US, finances allowing. If I make it I hope some of you kind friendly souls will take pity on a shy and retiring Brit and say hello and smooth out the cultural differences I may find it hard to adapt to.

Hiya Squeak! Welcome to the forum - I'm a newbie so I look forward to your posts and learning from you. Many years ago I got to travel across the pond and was SO welcomed. What was funny though was even though I traveled to other countries that spoke other languages than English, I had the worst time understanding in London - my friend's friends all seemed to be of the cockney persuasion. That and Black Adder and I really was like "what are you all saying"???? Yet it was ENGLISH - GRIN

Re: Hiya from the UK
I know what you mean Pixieface, I grew up in Ireland and I have travelled a lot in Europe and I must admit NO-ONE speaks english worse than the Brits. Someone from France would never believe that a Scouser, a Geordie and a Glaswegian are all speaking the same language. I presume that there is as much reigonal variation over there, I can Identify a few different accents in the US like East coast and West and the deep South but this is just what I've gleaned from meeting tourists and seeing US TV shows.

Yeah... she is the shyest, quietest, most retiring face painter I've ever met... c'mon Jo, don't snow them!!! They'll never recognize you in person with THAT description!!
I've painted Jo's daughter numerous times... How is she BTW?
