ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH last minute change of plan

I had a lady ask me to paint her two kids tomorrow morning, and has just now (13 hours before) told me that she's really sorry but their costumes have changed.

I'd spent the week perfecting my zombie bride, and a killer zombie for her, now she said theyre going as a devil (female 9yrs old) and a Mad Doctor (male 14yrs old)

Can anyone help me out with what to do. Ive turned away others who wanted her time slot and so need to paint them, I also REALLY need the money.

I guess im just after idea's really, but advice about how to stop this happening in the future

There's not a whole lot you can do about kids changing their minds at the last minute... they're kids. They could very well change their mind back to the other ideas tomorrow LOL

As far as the designs go... devil is just a red monster and a mad doctor needs maybe some stitched up scars, crazy eyebrows and glasses?

it's not the kids that changed their minds its their mum, the costumes were cheaper... me and the kids have been practusing and they were excited!

I didnt want to do her just all red... but with being 9 i didnt want to start getting her eyes darkened like she's wearing eye liner etc, i dunno... i just seem to be out of creativity!

How about doing a red devil mask instead of a whole face - lots of sparkle and glitter and swirls? Then do some sort of (dreaded) glitter cheek art? a trident or flames? Or the proverbial skinny painted mustache and goatee? As talented as you are you will come up with something great I'm sure!
