Hi all *waves* newbie painter from the UK
Hi everyone, Im Sammie, I'm 21 and have my own successful business in Event Planning and Management.
I've dabbled in facepainting for many years now, since being about 14 I think. I've always used Snazaroo paints, and have been lucky enough to have an artistic and creative flair from my fathers side. If I have a picture, I can usually copy it onto someones face.
I've been offering Childrens Party Packages for a while as part of my business, but realised its time I took the plunge and started offering Face Painting as a package within the business.
I bought a kit the other day, the large professional 1500 face kit from Snazaroo, but would love your tips, and help on what more to get to bulk up my bok now, and anything you think would be helpful to me!
I've done a few designs, (on myself mainly) and will upload them as I go, your criticisms are hugely welcomed!
Thanks for reading, hope to get to know you all better soon! Sammie x (Bolton, Lancs UK)

Well, this forum is a gift for new paintes in my opinion... If you for example go to the monthly challenges part, you will have tons of how to's and step-by-steps right there waiting for you . Youtube is an other good idea for designs. There you can really see how different designs can be done, and then add your own twist to the ones you like... Many talented poeple on this forum even have their own youtube channels with fantastic videos .

Someone just asked me what things we do, so heres a copy of the post I wrote
Conferences, business launches, product launches, corporate and charity events, birthday parties (kids and adult), all family parties, we have our own entertainments team, DJ, Karaoke, live broadcasts, musical roadshows.
Quiz Nights, race nights, casino experiences, theming events, venue hire, venue decoration, organising functions, floor managing events, tour managers.
You name it, we can do it.
We go one further though, and already offer the option to have magicians, bouncy castles, balloon modelling and face painting as options for kids. parties etc, so if I can do the hire of castles, and balloon modelling anyway, it might be a good idea to hone in on the fact I enjoy painting faces, and learn to do it myself, rather then keep trying to find someone available.
Theres only one lady in our area who offers it, and I don't like her at all!!! she's grumpy, very uinfriendly, and highly unprofessional - if there was someone else, I wouldnt mind, and quite happily let them do it and pay them. It's good for me though anyways as I enjoy it
