Website Critique BADLY needed!

It's still under construction, but I'd really like to know if it looks nice, or what I need to fix

That's what I was going to say. It's a nice template, but really can't be critiqued till we see the content. Let us know when you're done & we'll give it a look see.

It's looking good so far! I can't wait to see how it progresses. Be sure and add lots of pictures. At least one of your best on each main page, and then more in a gallery. Have fun!

My other half and I build websites... a couple technical points:

This site is flash based. You want people to be able to find your site if they type something like "Face painter in (Your Area)" into a search engine. Search engines cannot index flash sites, so although flash sites are visually interesting and fun, they are REALLY bad if you want people who don't already know your web address to find you.

You also need your own primary domain name, not a subdomain. It is really hard for people to successfully type http://www.wix.com/kukilunestar/laurynspaintshoppe off a business card, Vs LaurynsPainShoppe.com

If you want or need, we have an intro to web sites pdf we send out to customers for free, usually Via an auto responder, but I will try to put it into one PDF or something and post it here- it is useful info for ANY small business who has or wants a web site.

I'd probably get rid of the music. Sometimes people will be looking at your site while at work, and they don't want the boss hearing music coming from their computer.

Nice so far, this is from someone who doesn't have a site yet. lol
I did see at least one spelling error on your about you page. Realize is with an a .

Also, flash does not work on iphones or ipads. So, there should be some other content there in the html.

I suggest putting some eye-catching photos on the first page. You want to grab their attention right away.

I used to design websites too.

I'm in the process of doing my site as well. Thank you to everyone for ideas, etc.,
When anyone gets a chance check out my as well. I know I have to have a domain and will get one soon.

That moving background gives me motion sickness and I can't read the content. The body text is also way too big and could probably do with being a plain font eg. Arial or Helvetica.
Obviously more pictures are needed.
