Favorite Split Cake for Dolphins or Sharks?

Hey Everyone!

Just want to say thank you for all your wonderful help before you reply I love this forum!

Ok, I'm looking for the perfect split cake big or small for dolphins or sharks?

I recently bought a DFX 50grams from Metina's store, It's perfect for my dolphins. Can't see the name on the container, cuz It has velcro on it. It has dark blue, light blue, lavander and white. I just check the store and it's not in stock. You might want to ask her if she is going to have it any time soon..

It is marine and they were ordered today. I got wiped out over the weekend!

I use the marine cake too! Pick up the dark blue and light blue (but only cover 1/4 of your brush with the dark blue and 3/4 with the light blue because the dark will travel far!).

There is an awesome tutorial on a shark (and a fish) by LisaJoyYoung on Youtube on this... I just did it today Very similar to the dolphin in the coloring and technique, but not the shape.

Sorry I couldn't share earlier...but Lisa's techinque is similar than mine..I just didnt use my 3/4 to shape the mouth..but after watching the video I WILL!

Yes, her mouth technique MAKES the shark. I like watching her because she is just so pretty and friendly looking

I do like her videos cuz she explains every detail and she is friendly...I also like sparklingfaces..

I think she is so pleasant to watch and very detailed in her instructions.

LOL Yes, I love Lisa! We talked a few times on YouTube. She told me about buying the Diamond FX metallix.

I usually do a shark with gray or blue and white for the belly. I use the kids mouth for the sharks mouth, but I love Lisa's design! It looks so quick, too!

I also loved her scorpion and thought I could get the same cake for both.

My favorite homemade split cake for dolphins & sharks is a thin stripe of black, dark blue, light blue, white, silver and another thin stripe of black so the dolphins and sharks are self outlined like Joy's fish before she outlines it in black.
I'm really into my collection of split cakes using the One Stroke technique for just that reason; self outlines to save time!
