They're really meant to be one use, but you can get multiple uses out of them till the sticky stops working. They're a temporary thing. I charge more for them than for face painting or balloons because they're so consumable.
Re: glitter tattoo stencils wont stick anymore
They are meant for single use... Some people do manage to use them a couple of times but they are actually not intended to be reused.
I've heard of some people using spray adhesive on them but I wouldn't recommend it.
That's why most of us charge more for glitter tatts than face painting.

I'm going to be unpopular for saying this - but - if you wash the stencil in hot soapy water and clean off with alcohol there is a product you can get to restore the adhesive - I have seen a few stencil retailers selling it - but off the top of my head the only guy I know who has it is Raymond at Dab Dab Tattoos. He's in Melbourne Australia, he sells a no airbrush temp tattoo system with a thicker ink so you can dab it on with a sponge - he also sells the stencil books and posters that I use for airbrushing - and some for glitter tattoos too although in general airbrush tattoos are more expensive then glitter ones.
If you are curious - or want to check it out here's the link.

All of that said some glitter tattoo stencils are thin and will come apart in the process - you really need a thick medium to make them truly reusable.
Oh and P.S I thoroughly recommend Raymond and his products - he actually mailed out my order before I had paid for it to make sure i got it in time - he's a legend.

The glitter stencils are intended for a one time use, unlike the airbrush stencils that are made without adhesive and intended to be used over and over again.
When you do a glitter tat and pull that stencil off, you will see the back is now covered with lots of dead skin cells, really yucky. This is not something you want to put on to the next person. (and I'm sure that person doesn't want it either) Stickyback glitter stencils are low cost (30 to 80 cents each) so just use them once, and charge accordingly.
Good luck with everything.
