tag vs paradise and splitcake worksheets??

so i szopede my big research about the different colour.. i wrote it for a few days, too. i found the cheapest supplier...sillyfarm (I would have saved myself the time to) anyway the only question is still --->>> TAG or PARADISE....im a little bit more for paradise colors and the splitcakes form tag. but im not really sure if this is the right and good dession. i tought you could give me a push in the right direction?!?!

and the guy told me that the shipping cost for me would be over $136.90 USD ....just for the shipping fees!!AHHH!!! i couldn´t belive that....anyway, then i have to get this from sillyfarm, too... ...so sad that the forumshop only sells the masks and not the heads too...

Well, since no one has helped ya out, I'll give ya my two cents worth of knowledge!

Shipping will be a pain, especially because I suspect you don't live in the US. Lone Wolf has a practice head, maybe you can PM her and ask where she got hers. It would probably be cheaper if you can find a supplier on your continent.

TAG is like Diamond FX and Wolfe. It is super-great for line work. I've never used TAG specifically, but I like the DFX splitcakes.

Paradise has some very nice colors and has a very nice consistency for blending. Some people doesn't like that it has a smell... coco butter? I don't think it smells bad.

Another thought... Styrofoam heads that you can use to hold hats or wigs are usually inexpensive. You could get the masks and put them on a Styrofoam head.

I'll chime in too. SF, in my opinion, isn't the cheapest supplier. I have found that it's a toss between MadHatter and FPF Shop for Paradise.

Where are you located? I have heads that I keep on hand since people sometimes buy them from me when we have our monthly jams. I could sell you one and find out the TRUE shipping cost...without the $60 inconvenience fee. I've ordered something like 32 pots of Snaz from the UK and the shipping didn't come close to even half the quote you are being given! I don't understand why merchants do that, but to each his own.

yes, i know its a big problem for me with the whole shipping things...i live in germany...
so my shoppinglist for sillyfarm would be 71$ only for shipping!=(but what should i do!?here i could only buy kryolan an dgrimas. and i really not convinced of them for blendings and linings...
i will have a look at the other 2 shops you wrote.

One of us here in the states could send you the stuff so you would have to pay actual shipping instead of the inflated shipping that they charge. I'm sure Metina would ship to you too, without the inflated shipping prices. Good luck. I hope that you find what you are looking for!!

You really could buy everything you need all in the EU. Grimas and DFX are based in Holland, Fantasy Worldwide and Fardel in Belgium, Kryolan in Germany and Snaz is in the UK. There are retailers all over Europe and the UK. There is no need to pay the large shipping costs to get product shipped to you from the US when it was shipped to the US from the EU in the first place.

For the heads and other things I'm sure that there are beauty suppliers in the EU as well.

As for blending... why do you think Grimas and Kryolan won't???? Both are long established popular brands of make-up with a long successful history.

Could it be that you are looking for the "holy grail" of face paints, and assuming they are only here in the U.S.? As Shannon stated, you HAVE them in the EU! I hope we just saved you a LOT of money!

i get a tip for a supplier in the netherland who sells paradise. i dont like grimas so much because i think that the color intensity is not that strong...i dont know why i prefer paradise..ist just a stoomache decision

anyway now i just want to buy some little accessoires from SF..i think that couldnt be that expensive.....hopefully!

Shannons recommendation of facepaint-uk.com...They are terrific, seriously, their postage (I live in Ireland so it'd be the same as continental Europe) is really really reasonable, or dare I say it, inexpensive. Go to their website .

I've bought off Silly farm and although they're a great shop, shipping outside the US is outrageous!!
