She must sacrifice small children to keep her looks. She turns 40 in Feb and she looks AMAZING! I have been researching all morning about her routine. Apparently she spends $20K per month to keep her looks.

One thing though I found in reading was this huge push for the pomegranate. Anyone heard of this?

Haha, let's see her after she has children, can't afford day care and nannies, can't afford to import exotic fruits and concoctions to consume daily, can't get a massage once a week (or daily) to de-stress those wrinkle lines away.....

She is beautiful. Always has been. She also has access to the best cosmetic surgeons (2 rhinoplasties), botox, radiesse, or whatever else they use to inject into wrinkles these days....

Pomagrante juice is supposedly full of anti oxidants and is good for you. You can buy it at health food stores. Also, Mangosteen, Acai and Noni juice are similar in health benefits. I can't imagine what she is buying that is costing so much, unless it includes fees for a daily personal trainer, massuse, skin treatments (facials and body masks), exotic HgH injections (the Hollywood rage) and a host of other expensive maintenance things.

I drink clean water (no chlorinated water period), use natural products like Virgin Coconut oil, Olive Oil and gentle soaps like Dr. Bronners. I use mineral makeup (powders and a liquid brand I like, for when I want 'glam' coverage). I use sea salt (Real Salt Brand) with minerals intact, 'Rapadura' Sugar and Agave sweeteners...I eat organic when I can afford it, always for some thin skinned fruits/veggies. AND I've had three boys!

I'm 42, will be 43 in April 09. And I spend about $20 bucks a month on personal care products! Get rid of the preservatives and chemicals on your skin, and inside your body to the extent you can. You skin will glow and the wrinkles will fade. One suppliment I really suggest is Ubiquinol (a deritive of CoQ10). MSM is also amazing for your skin, hair and nails. I take both daily. You have pictures of my face all over the place, so I'll not post one here! haha. But this stuff is amazing for your skin. Smile

Now, I do need to still drop some of the 'baby' weight pounds...but I'm working on that this year! Smile Gee, I wish I could afford a personal trainer! Chasing down the kids is as close as I come! I guess I should be paying them for 'inspiring' me to get up and MOVE quickly~ hehe

I will look up those suppements. I need to find a health food store. All the pomegranante juice was a cocktail full of sugar. I want to start eating better this year as well.

I have also decided to give up booze completely just because it is so bad for you and the fact that dementia runs in my family and this is supposed to increase your risks.

Luckily I have been using sunscreen on my face since my early 20's which has saved my skin a lot.

Oh, aye. I don't drink much alcohol. I am the 'one glass of wine during the once a year fancy dinner out' or a 'strawberry daquiri with the girls' on a rare 'night out' drinker. Alcohol puts a heavy burden on your liver. Your liver processes ALL toxins your body receives inside and outside. If the liver can't flush it, it stores it. Pain in the middle of your upper back is one indicator that your liver is swollen and needs a cleaning.

I have done liver flushes too...wow, what a difference when your liver can do it's job. It also caused me to lose weight! Your body will hold onto excess body weight to buffer 'toxins' when it can't dump it effectively.

I know that the mainstream has us all programmed to use sunscreen daily, however most sunscreens are chemical cocktails that are actually more detrimental to your skin, degrade into even worse chemicals and can actually be harmful to your overall health! They are usually rancid and cause free radical damage, if not outright skin damage from the toxic compounds they degrade into...EEPS, yes, even can lead to skin cancer, which they are supposed to be preventing!

I would recommend finding a truely natural brand and only using it if you are out in the sun for more than an hour. I actually never use sunscreen. Yep, never! I use virgin coconut oil (it is minimally processed and has all the good stuff still inside it). It has natural protective properties, unless you are laying around outside for hours and hours, then you might want a barrier cream with zinc oxide or something. I found an australian brand that uses all natural oils and stuff...I'll look for the name when I find the tube! I usually mail order a big tube once a year.

I think you can get capsules with pomegranet extract, as I've seen Acai and the others in capsule form.

I found the little changes that I can maintain helped the most. If it was expensive or I had to change my routine alot, then I didn't bother. There is alot of mis information out there. It seems only the rich seem to get the good info and can afford to order some of the more exotic things that might actualy work! I'm all for finding the 'cheap' things that actually work just as good, even if they are not in pretty bottles or packages. Smile

Now...for all those drinks I pass by...my hubby on the other hand....loves his beer! I've offered to walk him through a liver flush..but even I'm scared of what might come out!! Very Happy hehe

You can walk me through a liver flush. Maybe that is why I can't drop any weight even though I have been working our a lot.

It is HUGE. It is filled with people that have taken control of their own health, for a multitude of health issues. Search on 'gall bladder/liver flush'. You will see alot of stuff..and warning, you will probalby see pictures of some of the things that passed out of their bodies after a flush. (Better out than still in there, I guess).

There are a several protocols. Read up a bit and then I can answer questions and let you know which I chose and why.

As a personal note: Kathy's husband was in the ER with terrible pain. It was his gall bladder and they wanted to remove it. He called me and I suggeste a gall bladder/liver flush, preceeded by drinking apple juice or apple cider vinegar cocktails for a few days to litterally dissolve the stones.

Short story, they dissolved, they passed out and he has no pain and no surgery needed. Most people are totally unaware that you can avoid surgery if you follow one of these flush protocols, make a few diet modifications, that will be MANDANTORY if you do the surgery...better to do them before and minor slip ups won't bother you like if you have no gall bladder to help process your food the way it was designed to do.

If you still have pain/stones after one flush, you need to do another flush in a few weeks.

I'm also a big follower of the 'Master Cleanse'. It is a lemonade type drink fast that you do for 10 days, though some have done it for much longer.
It detoxes you fast like a 'water' fast, but it is much easier to tolerate, as you can actually feel satisfied with the drinks after you have been on the fast a few days.

You drop weight quickly as your body releases the toxins. You can gain back some of the weight if you go straight back to eating bad...but whenever I do a cleanse I don't gain back the weight, until I start eating bad during the holidays! Fortunately, it comes back off if you do another cleanse.

It can be done.

I've done 5, 7 and 10 day fasts. It is based on the 'Master Cleanse' book that was written in the 60s by Stanley Burroughs. If you are interested I would suggest getting the booklet or going to Peter's site (a revamp, with updated info on Stanley's work.)

It is a great way to break addictions, cleanse your system and get an awesome jump start on new diets or eating better. If you can continue to eat more raw foods afterwards, you will continue to loose weight and feel even benefits. Smile
