I painted in the DARK last night!

The gig (which was partially volunteer, just a per-face supply cost provided) was supposed to be 4-8pm, but I had such a long line that I told my (volunteer) line manager to keep selling tickets, that I would stay as long as I was able to physically do it, and as long as she gave truthful estimates on how long the wait was. You know what? I painted until 9:30 and my last customers waited almost 2 hours! I felt like a rock star! In the end, the last over 30 minutes were in the pitch black with only people's cell phones lighting the way. It was actually so much fun! Looking back at the last pictures, the ones in the dark were fairly decent. It was my setup that took the brunt of punishment - it is such a huge mess today!

Great work Barbie, you must feel really pumped & exhausted. I painted in the dark at a gig last year at a Blues Festival it all just added to the atmosphere, I was doing alot of spooky faces by then.

If they will wait for you to paint them for TWO HOURS - YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!!!!

I painting in the dark 4th of July weekend! I'm gonna get one of those camping lanterns as a back-up for when this happens.
Awesome job on the faces. By the last one, I don't know if I could have seen straight enough to paint that well.
