We all know that as we get older(especially around the eyes) the skin gets looser & gets wrinkles... Sorry to break this to the younger crowd Very Happy
Is there a trick to painting it w/o the brush catching in a wrinkle & skipping like a stone across the skin? I dread it when grandma is at the party & wants the young youthful design & I end up making them look like Tammy Fay baker on a bad day. I also am having this problem under my own eyes & refuse to paint that zone.... Oh, that we could all get face lifts(hmmm, maybe I'll add botox to my services).

All I can say is... avoid ANY linework in the area of the wrinkles around the eyes. Go minimalist with the black. Use flowers and drops and dots rather than lines if you can.

Also, sparkles, metallics, etc will highlight rather than hide the wrinkles.

Don't use black to line the eyes.

Yes, light and shimmery. Dark and matte are a disaster every time.

Use a softer brush for linework. I find that ones with less bounce in them get caught in wrinkles less often.
