I was reading somewhere else that you should use Kryolan for sponging and DFX/Wolfe for line work. Is this true? Do I really need 2 sets? Will DFX sponge on well? (That's what I planned to get) Ohh and also, does the DFX glow under blacklight? Any tips for the newb otherwise?

All make-up labeled as neons should glow under blacklight.

I sponge w/ dfx & do line work w/ dfx. DFX can flake after a while if it's on large surfaces(or at least that's what I've heard). I've never had that problem, but I only face paint(to modest for body art though I admire the artists that do it).

Yes - Kryolan is slightly brighter all round but rubbish, mainly, for linework...

DFX is better for that.
TBH I started with a DFX taster kit in clubs but I much prefer Kryolan with me too now.

Generally you have to get it slightly wetter/ more worked up than normal non UV paints. And in all brands blue, purple are fairly dull and white SUCKS. Most times I use yellow for white.

Mainly its my homemade rainbow UV cakes in either brand that gets used!

Re flaking; yes DFX/ Wolfe etc can flake, I recall a now famous painter using it all for the 1st time at the same time as me at a joint body painting gig; no idea what she did but it was flaking off like mad.
