I bribe my kids. My son wants Dinosaur King Cards. My daughter gets to negotiate for face paint lessons too, she is 10 and is dying to paint real people. So, we do trade offs. I give them the poker deal. That means that I try not to show them how much I REALLY want to paint them so I have the upper hand Very Happy Usually my daughter is better than my son. But, if we are at festivals or going to an event then they love to be painted...just not so much for guinea pig design work.

Oh yeah, my daughter loves to take the real pic for my board and then makes me take about 12 of her being a goofball with the design on.

When I begin the sentence "I need to practice _____ on a real person.", a chorus of "NOT IT!" begins throughout the house. Whoever chimes in last is the one that gets painted. I'm glad they worked that out amongst themselves, lol!

A dollar???? I wish.......When I can get Angel and Joel to agree to be painted and believe me it ain't that often, they have up'd the ante. My daughter has even said mommy I think I need a contract to model for you. (She's been watching way too much America's Next Top Model) and for Joel everything revolves around Game Stop and a new game for either his xbox 360 or game cube or psp. With Angel it's either Justin Bieber a new cd/dvd or song downloads for her ipod.

On a good day it'll just be something simple like extending their bedtime if there is something they wish to see on TV or a special dessert

I thnk I'm the one that needs the contract....lolol

Life with 2 pre teens....so much fun fun fun....NOT!!!

When I first started out, my family (extended family also) and I went away for the Forth of July Holiday weekend. I had them all captive in one house and told them I had to paint everyone (I mean everyone....from my oldest daughter (now 14) who back then was my only child and not even in school yet to my grandmother and great aunt). It was great and we had a blast....we all sat down for dinner that evening still with our faces painted and ... well, it made for some really great stories and good laughs and great memories...not to mention got to paint anything I wanted and did so... 15 different faces. LOVED IT!!! After the first 5 faces were done the rest didn't want to feel like party poopers and it was a breeze getting through them all (no two were alike) YAY!!! Aaaah! I miss those days...they're on to me know LOL!

So, are you having anyone over for dinner anytime soon? Thanksgiving looks like a great time to get some faces done! Smile

I LOVE that idea. Sadly my family is of the grab it and growl variety, and thanksgiving is cooking for the women, grilling and football for the men, demonizing the house for the two kidlets. Not a whole lot of sit down time.

My kids aren't into the money part (yet) but I do have to let them paint me if I paint them.
Yesterday I was painted as a "girl rainbow tiger". Bribing your practice model - Page 2 Photo_10
