hello! My name is Rachele and I am a mother to 3 kiddos- my youngest is five and life is allowing me to pour a bit more creativity since I am settled and not luggin around babies! I have always painted my kids faces for halloween- and am an artist who mainly poured my energy into food the last ten yrs...seriously it occurred to me to start doing farmers markets next yr with face paint and begin now building my skills, learning the ropes, and preparing for my supplies and portfolio. I found this AMAZING forum and cant wait to get though some of the basics- i would love to get a small gig going for one or two trial runs at the end of the summer- but my daughter is an artist (11) and this allows her to bring her work and help me with smaller paintings etc...my youngest is going to be my face paint fairy! i appreciate your time reading my intro as i peruse the basics....i look forward to learning and growing as an artist with this community! Rachele

Welcome! Isn't this place the best?! My daughter is 13 and goes with me to all the birthday parties and festivals- she handles the glitter tattoo side of the business. We were at a festival last weekend and I tried to remind her about something and she just put her hand up and gave me the look--- in other words, back off, Mom, I got this! LOL

Squiggle; My 17 yr old is the same way. If she'd get her drivers licence she could start doing gigs herself.

Hello and Welcome.

<--------------- My daughter is 10 yrs. old and she got the face painting bug last year when I took her FABAIC in Orlando, Fla. last May. She has been working with me ever since. She is so pretty speedy with the stencils and sponging, and does all the little children who might not otherwise be able to sit still for a face painting. I love it....we also do karate together too. She can't stand that I out rank her though....lolol she is a blue belt and I have my purple.

Hello and Welcome!

My 17 year old son (he's my avatar pic) is my partner. With the job market as it is, painting has been good income for him in the summer.

It's great for me too, we spend time together and he does all the heavy lifting at festivals Wink

This has also encouraged him to explore his artistic side further, he's renting a space to teach origami classes this summer too.

Good Luck
