Hi everyone, im new here! Names Christina, I am 25 and live in Austin, TX, i am a freelance makeup artist that is self taught. I am working on building my portfolio i love makeup and art. I have never face painted before but am definitely interested in giving it a shot. If there are any tips or tricks for new comers please feel free to indulge me. Thanks!

Welcome to the group!!! We are opposites! I'm just starting to get into MUA (mostly because it's easier for photographer husband but also cause it's pretty!)
Tips... join the discussions here (LOTS of talent that's very helpful). Read back on some of the old topics... especially in the new to facepainting section... good stuff in there too. Some of our members have youtube tutorials out that are super. Get a small palatte to try some out. There are a fair amout of painters in the Texas area, so look out for a Jam in your neighborhood.
And welcome again to our addiction.

Each time you login, you can go to your PROFILE page and scroll down to see the topics that you are following. These are the ones you recently read. When you are beginning, it helps to have a "jumping off point" like this, until you get to know your way around!
Everyone is friendly. Don;t hesitate to ask for directions if you get lost! I love the newsletters and posts. See you around!

Welcome! Have fun exploring, learning and seeing what you can create! I won't repeat what others have said..... but some of my favorite places are looking in the gallery, the monthly contest entries, and topics of products and their performance.
Your dual hats are very compatible.....I have at least two talented friends have gone into cosmetology after face painting to expand their knowledge, skills and job potential.
