My First Street Festival...How much to I charge per face?? HELP!!

Hey All!
I will be facepainting at my very 1st Big Street Performers Festival this summer!! I am soooo excited! It is a busy on here in Red Deer! I have no idea how much to charge per face/cheek/arm or leg (body) art. I dont want to be to cheap and not too expensive. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Do I bring my whole album to choose from or should I do my quickest or easiest ones to choose from? Most of my art I can do in my head, but I want this to be a positive experience (and of course, make as much $$ as possible)

For me, if I'm doing pay per face and want to try and make as much as I can I bring all my pics/displays so theres alot to choose from.

My prices range from $5-$10, sometimes $5-$8 depending on the area or how small or big the event is. Sometime I may throw in like 1-2 small cheek designs like a flower or heart for $2.

I would say bring what you are comfortable painting in less than 5 minutes and be prepared to limit it to even faster stuff if it gets really busy.

Prices depend on your area. Around here most painters charge $5 for cheek art and $10 for full faces (I usually make it $8 if I'm by myself, but I won't undercut if I"m working with someone else).... there is one painter in the area that only charges $1 or $2 but most of us think she's nuts for doing it and can't possibly be making any money after paying for materials and insurance... not to mention devaluing our skills. I have a few designs that are only one colour and a few swipes of the brush that I'll do for $2, but it's usually just for kids who are squeemish and might not make it through a full painting (like a butterfly brush butterfly on the back of their hand or a quick teardrop tiara on their forehead in one colour).

Me, too... we have a 2-day street fair this weekend, then on Thurs-Sun next week we have the Biloxi Crawfish Festival which is huge!

I plan on charging $10 for full face, $7 for half face, $5 for simple designs (single eye, cheek, etc) and glitter tattoos, and $3 for quick painted stencil designs (I have my older daughter working with me and she can't handle the regular face painting yet- she's going to handle those!). We also have a "premium face" option, which includes accessories- for girls, a tiara, feather boa, glitter hairspray, glitter gel, stick-on jewels along with their face painting design, and for boys, a pirate hat or bandana, plastic hook, gold earring, and a loot bag with gold coins along with a pirate face. Those are $15.

Those are my prices as well. I also charge $5 for small designs on arms or hands.

Yes my first festival on my own is in may and I was asking parents how much they were willing to pay for FP and the average is $5. I May do a $3, $5, $8, $10 range i guess $3 for hand or simple cheek, $8 for arms, etc...let me know how it goes
