My first Festival! What do I charge??? Empty My first Festival! What do I charge???

Ok, so I have contracted with a HUGE local farm recently (yayyyy), and they are having a Blues&Rock Festival at the end of this month. There will be a huge crowd, and my co. will be the only face painters there! Just wondering what is the usual price that face painters charge per face? I was thinking $7/full face designs, and $5/cheek art or partial designs...what do you all think?

I personally charge $4, $6, $8 and 10-15 for full faces. In my area there isnt a lot of competition for the most part and i have yet to have anyone complain about my prices. If anything i had a lot of parents say that my work was well worth what they spent on their kids. Made me feel good.

I grouped the designs in the order of how fast i can paint and how detailed it is and how much of the face it covers.

I say charge what your area can handle and your work is worth. Do some research as to other face painters in your area and what they charge also.

I charge $5/$10 so I don't have to deal w/ $1 bills so much.... It makes the mental math so much easier once you've been painting for hours & your mind is fuzzy:-)
I also charge a $5 upsell for glitter gel & gems.

I'm with Linda- $5 and $10 designs. I do have some $15 and $20 designs on the banners but they're not on the choice menu. If they mention they want them at festivals, I'll do them, but they're mainly for advertising for parties Smile
