Hello from Holland!
Hey there!
I am Eerin from Holland, 25 years old and I enjoy facepainting.
I am already a member of a dutch forum but I know that the face painting world is much bigger (huge), there are so many people that know great ways of making things, so many products and brands to explore etc.
So that is why I am here (cleary answering to my addiction )
Next to being a face painter I also am a freelance illustrator and I studied social pedagogic work (just a free translation from how it is called in Dutch, not sure what the official English name would be). I also enjoy doing other arts and crafts.
At the moment my 'normal' work, next to face painting and illustrations is work with flowers.
Mmm, lets see.. what else should I tell about myself..
Well.. I think I mostly enjoy making body art like things, not full body paint (never done that) but smaller tattoo like things.
I am familair with Mehron, Kryolan, Diamond FX, Superstar, Grimas and hope to explore a lot more brands. (I use diamond FX, Mehron and Superstar mostly) Especially Snazaroo I am curious about.. but they do not sell it in Holland it seems . Or I did not find it yet.
That is about it I think, feel free to ask questions etc!
Greetings,
Eerin

Re: Hello from Holland!
Hello and welcome. Like the style. The roses on the pregnant on your homepage are the best I have seen!
Re: Hello from Holland!
Lonewolf, thanks! That is very nice to hear.
I thought they where too light in color, but was not sure about how to make them rose-like without the white highlights. How to make very red roses, and still having a good contrast going on is a mystery to me
Sorry that it is only in Dutch by the way, I still have to make an English version of it.
If you click on the taps on the right side you will find more (sometimes )
And Psalmbook, thank you also

Re: Hello from Holland!
Maybe ad some dark red for shadow, but less white (not so broad)? I do like the effect now, it is very soft and angelic in a way =)
Re: Hello from Holland!
I do not have darker red at the moment, only the mehron metallic red, which is a bit dark. But when I have it I am surely going to try to make roses that are less white.
But I`ll also keep these in my inner book lol, of possible roses. Its good to know different ones, roses about love are different then roses for babies (for moest clients)
Thanks for your feedback, I love that.

Re: Hello from Holland!
If you have a purple, that would also be good. A black might be to dark. You really don't need 1000 colours, they mix well =)

Welcome Eerin!!
Now I have to go to your website and see those roses!!! They must be gorgeous if Lone loves them! OK wow! I love the peacock, the dimensional knot and shadow, and the pink baby fairy creature on the belly!! Gorgeous work!!!!
Is there a good demand for face/body painting in Holland? Do you have to make your own opportunities or do people seek you out for parties and festivals?
Happy Painting!
