Face Painter in Buffalo, NY area?

My nieces b-day party is coming up & my sister-in-law wants face painting. They live in Buffalo, NY & as much as I'd love to do the party, it's just too far:-)

YEAH! I wasn't happy with the few entertainers I saw(one showed a picture of POSTER PAINT next to the pictures of the painted kids!YIKES!). I just sent you an email, got on the forum & got to see your website. I love your pics! My nieces party has a Tinkerbell theme. Let me contact her & I'll get the two of you together. I'll be paying for it as my gift for the party. We are looking for around May 13th.

I am glad you liked my pics. As far as I know there are not many people who do face painting like we do in this area. one day I tried looking up my local competition and like you I was not impressed. I replied to your email, if there is any other info you need from me, just let me know.

I'm not trying to take this gig (since I'm out of town on another one anyway) but I'm from Rochester, which is about an hour +/- depending on where you go from, up the road from Buffalo. I work some nightclub and events there.

The poster paint one, she is terrifying. She is the one labeled "premiere". Worse, she works with a DJ who rents out bouncy houses and all of that kind of kid stuff. He was recently hiring face painters, so I contacted him just to find info out.

He told me that my quality and standards are too high for what he wants to offer.

Seriously?! That's ridiculous. You don't want to work under him anyway, then! Why be associated with someone who A) doesn't WANT to offer the best, and B) who hires out people who use poster paint?

He posts on Craigslist all the time, so I started to as well. The phone calls I've been getting complaining about him is saddening. I just tell them I don't know him (which is true) and I'd be happy to answer their questions about what I do.

You know... they can be doing a great deal of disservice to our industry. I'm glad people are calling you and asking, but I'm afraid too many of them will think we are all like that and book a purple dino instead.

We live right in Buffalo ny and would love to face paint. We have been at the Erie county fair, the buffalo Zoo, we did all the face painting for Channel 7 childfair, and have worked with the variety club telethon...please tell her to call me and I can see exactly what she is interested in, and give her the best price.

Next time I come to Buffalo, I'd love to get a bunch of the face painters together & jam. Also, Lynnie & BKvail rock & would be great to get to know.
