HELP! I Can't Decide!

Red or Black.. That simple and I can't make up my mind. I have been google-ing and google-ing trying to find one of those plastic a-frame sidewalk signs to use.

I got an excellent price: $50 (normally between $150-$180)

But I can't decide... red or black?

HELP!

The background or the print??

the whole sign itself... I'm going to go to Lowes and get plexiglass cut for it and use velcro to put pics up and down...

I'm partial to black backgrounds. Red is an angry colour for a background I think. Red print is okay, but black is better. IMHO...

I do favor black for framing pics... forces the eye to color.

But

The red is an eye-catcher for busy festival-goers to notice while walking by.

Tough call. I'd go with red cause it'd match my pop-up, but I have a red pop-up.

Black. Let the image you put on it draw attention, not the background.

Red would catch my attention from a far...black not so much. I would get red.

I say black, if your signage is white the black will accent and draw attention to it.

I would choose black, but you could always paint it a different color if you change your mind?

Oh, I know! Maybe get the red board for easy spottage, but have a black background under your pics under the plexiglass.

my first instinct was to say red when I saw them, because that caught my eye the fastest... Black would probably look better with pictures though...

They are practical! Wonder if I can get some here..

I would say the red and then a border in some colour for your photos

I would say black, definitely. That way the color of the background does not distract people from the pictures or or show through them.
If you are looking to draw attention to it at festivals, I would suggest tying colorful balloons to the top.

I vote for black too.

Black for me, too

Black because:

1) It will make your sign/image stand out much more!

2) Ever thought of daltonians? :-p There are many of them out there, they will see your sign being brown.

My vote is black as well. Red plays with the eye and it's not as "comfortable" to look at. I like the idea of adding balloons or something. Because I don't know how tall they are, I don't think I would add the balloons to the sign tho. The wind would blow them into people and that would just be annoying. I would do my eye catcher in another way like maybe the balloons on top of the tent. Really like the signs and idea tho!! Good luck and you'll have to show us the final project.
