Hi! I'm on mobile so sorry if this has been asked before. What is the best DIY reusable practice board? I've been thinking of trying over head projection sheets. Has anyone had success with these?

There is a popular reusable face sheet sold online by Sally Lynch but it's outside of my budget for this at the moment. I've also contacted FAB Wipeable boards a couple times and she has always failed to send me an invoice after speaking with me, I don't want to spend money on someone who seems so disorganized.

Im not interested in practice heads, just reusable sheets. Any suggestions?

Craft foam sheets are reusable and inexpensive. Black will stain. It is not as good as painting on skin.
Happy Painting!

I have both FAB wipeable boards, and Sally-Ann TT&T boards.

I'm actually procrastinating a review about them right now for paint pal.

With out going totally into everything on my review, I can say they are worth it. While i like the face design of the FAB boards better, I'm not fond of the woman running it. She's Sally's TWIN sister Sarah, and you are right she IS very disorganized. She messed up my order, didn't send me the tracking info and then some. She also stole her sisters idea for the boards! and she's been setting up fake FaceBook pages using her sisters business name! So, no I'm not very fond of the woman, other then I like the face she drew, like a lot.

The boards work great for practice and display though! Best thing I bought all year.

Fesspenter thank you! I have gotten ahold of some craft foam and I'm liking it to practice brush strokes!

Forest Fairy, thank you for sharing your experience. I've been on the fence about the TT&T's because of the price but I think I'm just going to take the plunge and splurge. The owner of FAB actually just messaged me today asking me to remove my "negative post". I of course refused. Hearing your story I'm happy I did not give her my business!

My advice is to get the child looking 6 face board. Great for practice AND display. I tell you I'm addicted to these boards. I'm really not fond of the TT&T 4 face 'girly' boards. I prefer the faces to be genderless, makeup free, and ageless if possible. Which is why i like the FAB face design so much. But the child looking TT&T board I could see myself using. The faces are smaller like a childs, you get more faces per board, and it's printed Horizontally, which is PERFECT for my A-Frame sandwich sign (unlike the vertical 4 face boards).

Best part is that they don't stain really at all, if if they do which does happen some times, just use a bit of tooth paste to clean them and it's like magic!?

Oops! I've said too much, I better finish that review. Razz

Have you had a chance to work on that review yet? LOL - I really prefer the faces on the FAB boards, but, I keep thinking I would prefer just having a sheet of plastic like this to work on. Do you have any idea what type of plastic it is?

Honestly, the view is done, it's a comparison review I'm just waiting for Silly Farm to tell me that's ok to post because they only sell the TT&T boards.

No idea what kind of plastic it is, but it's the best thing since sliced bread. Not just your ordinary plastic, one side is slightly porous and VERY similar to surface skin texture (only without the elasticity of skin). It's that aspect that makes it a dream to paint on and work so well. BUT My friends own a sign making company in my home town and I will be showing them the material when i visit them in the spring. Talking to them on the phone they are pretty sure they can tell me what exactly it is, then I can make my own. Very Happy

I love the TT&T one that I have. I haven't tried the others as there isn't a Canadian vendor carrying them.

I would love to know what they are made out of, as I would love a clear one to just practice odd & sods like tear drops ect.
