"Green" face paint Empty "Green" face paint

Post by PaintedWingsandWishes Thu Sep 17, 2015 3:00 pm

I have an event next week and they would like eco friendly "green" face paint. Any advice on how to explain the Tag, DFX, Kryvaline and Wolfe to them?

On another note, has anyone ever use this brand of paint?

I haven't used it--but it would be basically grease paint...

I would explain that it is fda compliant, but as yet, there is not a water activated product developed that is 100% green. That being said--it is the best there is for the children's skin-- (Parents generally are not too keen on taking off grease paint.)

(Maybe ask if everything else at the event "green"--drinks, food, serving-ware, tablecloths, etc. if you need to check & balance them!)

Ah ok, I was thinking it sounded like it if it didn't need water to activate. Guess I'll try and hope for the best Smile

You could print out the MSDS for the brands you use to show that they don't have harmful stuff in them

all 4 of those brands list "paraffin wax, petrolatum" as an ingredient, which is derived from petroleum.  that probably won't go over well.

tons of stuff is made from petrolatum. Your shampoo, to the bottle it comes in, to the sticker to the glue that holds the sticker on the bottle.

Everyone there is going to have 'something' that isn't 100% green.

This reminds me of the time i was asked if my paints were 'gluten free' for an event..... yeah that happened.

I completely don't live in that world so I had no clue what to do haha. I do try to be responsible with my trash and water waste. I did print out the ingredients and I bring it with me everywhere. I'm still waiting for a response :/

I am curious, what did you say for gluten free? Razz

I said something along the lines of "..... no.... they don't have gluten in them. But even if they did, celiac disease is only a problem with products that are ingested and not absorbed through the skin."

I know this is an old thread.... but Ruby Red paints are vegan about as Eco friendly as you're going to get if you want professional face paint that is good.
