Grateful for Face Paint Forum
I sent a private message today to Metina, thanking her for how she handled a product issue I had. She's not only a good business woman, but a really nice person, too. Just thought I'd copy the part of the "PM" that pertained to my love of the FPF:
"Thank you. I frequently talk about you & FPF to other artists. I've recently talked to 2 experienced FP'ers who didn't utilize your forum & therefore, your shop. 1st, we can get items at your shop not available from other shops &/or…we can do "one-stop" shopping, meeting all our needs, which saves on shipping. 2nd, FPF is, IMHO, a very unique tool for FP'ers, balloon artists, clowns, Henna & glitter tattoos. Not only can we ask ?'s, seek help/opinions, but, searching threads w/key words, we can easily access years of experience! Thanks for all you do for the industry & continued good luck…Merry Christmas."

I talk up the Forum...
and, the Face Paint Forum Shop.
While I have never met Metina, she has been SO personable, answering all my questions in a timely manner. The shipping is SO freaking FAST! The prices are competitive. There is absolutely NO comparison for the prices when I place orders that are $500 or over. The products are packaged so well... nested inside each other, to make the shipping cost less, and the product shipped safer.
I love the Forum much more than the FaceBook groups. The Forum peeps are so much more informative and friendly in their advice.
I love this place.
Without it...
I would not have actually met YOU, Pat, at FABAIC!

Re: Grateful for Face Paint Forum
Lisa, I agree w/all you said, especially the part about meeting you. What fun to shout across a crowded room, FESSIE!!!! Funny thing was, I was calling to someone I'd never actually met (but who was so supportive to me & others on FPF).
Re: Grateful for Face Paint Forum
Dear Pat:
How did you know it was ME?
How did you know I was not lying my face off on the Forum about who I was?
Did I have cookie crumbs on my face?
By the way...
I was SO nervous to speak in public.
I would rather have been naked wearing only support hose than talk in front of all those peeps.
Everyone was very kind.
I was SO thrilled to meet YOU!
I love this Forum.
I have met so many wonderful people I would have never known except for this special place.
My Mumsy warned me that chat rooms were full of serial killers. I have not met one single serial killer in the bunch.
My Mumsy was wrong.
I wonder if she was wrong about those other things, too....
"Don't bite your sister".
"Always wear clean schmundies".

Re: Grateful for Face Paint Forum
Well Fessie,
1- I knew it was you because a) they introduced you & b) I'd see your pic
somewhere
2- I guess you have an honest face & I trusted you (no visible cookie
crumbs)
3- I've done a LOT of public speaking. Next time imagine your audience
"naked, in support hose."!!!
4- I was so happy to finally meet you, too.
5- Your Mumsy was doing the right thing. Sadly, it IS a world full of
"serial killers", but I'm not one of them. I AM a serial hugger, tho'
6- (bet your sorry you started this!) In my house, if you bit or pinched
someone, you'd be calmly told you were now going to be bit or pinched
so you can feel what it's like. YIKES, today that's child abuse & my Mum
would be in jail!
7- Long after my Mum had passed away, I was in a terrible car accident.
Some young kid blew thru a stop sign & smacked into my family. We
were brought to the hospital (where I was a nurse) & I started laughing
as they moved me from the stretcher to the ER bed. As they cut my
dress off, I was still laughing. The room was crowded with my co-
workers. Someone said, "She must be hysterical." I told them, "No, but my Mum would be SO relieved to know I have on clean underwear!!!!
Love, Pat

Dear Pat:
How could I picture you, and Sean and Jana Avram naked in support hose? (They were in the audience, too).
I was scared.
I barely remember what I said.
I love your clean undies story.
I held back before,
now...
my Mumsy also told me that
"Men with big sideburns are hung like hamsters."
Going back to my box now, to eat cookies.
Hey! What are all these pretty ribbons on my box for? Who put them there?

Re: Grateful for Face Paint Forum
I worked an event last night with some painty friends who don't use the internet & therefore our forum & FPF shop so much. They were liking some of the things I did w/my kit, one-strokes I bought, things I painted. They're very good face painters. It made me re-read this post, LOL & remember how much I love this forum.
Re: Grateful for Face Paint Forum
I use this forum as an absolute training tool. Chances are if you're thinking about something face painting related there's all kinds of answers here. This forum has saved me from dealing with heaps of bull pucky and helped my business grow in leaps and bounds. I turn here for advice, ideas and inspiration. Also, to tell nutbar stories and vent about my husband who is sad because he thinks I grew up to be a clown. I don't understand why that makes him sad ;/
