Face Paint Brush Cases?
hey guys! I would like to ask you guys ^^
What case do you like best for your paint brush? I have a pencil box I bought from walmart, but my new brushes seems to be too long, I wanted to buy those specially made for brushes..are they better? I am new to face painting so I would love some input ^^. Thanks!

Re: Face Paint Brush Cases?
I have been wondering this too---I keep my brushes in a ziplock baggie right now and I want something a little more professional.

Re: Face Paint Brush Cases?
I have been using the Duplo (large Lego blocks) to create my own custom brush holder while I am painting, and I transport the brushes in my FatMax in their case.
I have JUST switched to the Heritage brush and pencil easel (holds 48 brushes). I bought it from Amazon.com. I used it this week for the first time and i am loving it, so far.
Happy Painting!

Re: Face Paint Brush Cases?
Brush easel is the like the best thing ever to happen to my face paint kit. You can get them from TAG, Mehron, Amazon, or many other places. They fold up into a nice book like folder, and keeps everything nice a neat and the brushes safe from moving around while in transit. But the best part is that the folds open and sits upright on your table, for easy access and WOW what a space saver!
The only down side I found was it made the brushes just a little bit more temping for kids to run their fingers on. But I fixed that with my lovely 'no touch' sign taped to the back
Speaks for itself really.
Now I will say that the Heritage Pencil and Brush Holder, is nice because it has two tiers, but it's much better for pencils.
but this one is better IMO.

here is why
1. it has a pocket on the bottom AND an elastic to hold your brush in place.
This is better because you really don't want your brushes to move around much, where as with pencils it doesn't matter as much.
2. Easier to quickly extract the brush as the pockets aren't that deep.
3. one layer means that your brushes won't bump into each other as much when being folded up, thus damaging the bristles. Again this is a non issue with pencils.
4. Wider spaces to put your brushes.
Most of my brushes are small, but I have a few that have thick handles that would not fit into the tiny pencil sized pockets on the Heritage easel.
5. More room for taller brushes
Other reasons I love this brush easel
~ it creates a nice little 'wall' so kids can't reach into my work area
~ the 'wall' also give me an area to line up my spray bottles and glitters
~ great to put signs on or in front of
~ great for organization, I have all my small brushes on the right and large brushes on the left
~ I can only care so many, so it's easy to find which brushes I use the most and limit myself to taking what i actually use and need, which makes my painting time faster as i don't have to search for the right brush.
~ easy to clean
~ I even store my BAM stencils clip in it for safe keeping
~ packing up is SO easy
~ looks SO professional
Invest in a brush easel! They are the best!

I'd be tempted to buy one or two of those Prestige Brush and Tool Holders if it wasn't for the $25 shipping -_-

Re: Face Paint Brush Cases?
Ok... I just gave in and ordered 2 of them from here http://www.ebay.ca/itm/161452379583. With combined shipping it came to US$33.73. One would probably do me... but since I was already spending ~$10 for shipping I thought I now had to order 2 since the combined shipping was ~$14

Yeah that's the one I wouldn't get for brushes mainly because i know my thicker handled brushes wouldn't fit in those little hole pockets.
@ jlirie I've seen the Prestige ones for sale in some makeup store and art stores but it's a rare site and they are usually marked up. Same as paying for shipping really. Here is the 'frozen north' we only ever get our suppiles through horse and buggy and dog sled. What news from the outside world?
@ LittleMonsters good pick! I wish i would have bought two because i would have loved to have one for my FX makeup brushes too. ^.^

Not to mention that not all of the igloos are big enough to hold as vast a stock as our warmer client neighbours.

Thank god for president Tim Horton getting the double double bill passed so that we can use ice converters to harness electricity from ice mixed with whale blubber or we might not even have internet access.
Brb - my roommate told me there is a polar bear outside threatening my pet penguin and our heard of caribou. Man the harpoons and fire the timbits!

Ice mixed with whale blubber is crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.

Perhaps there should be a cookie made of that, Fessy...?
I, too, recently bought the double tier easel... and will be getting to use it this weekend for the first time.
