Hey! I am VERY very confused in the brush size department.
I bought 2 loew Cornell .. both size 6..but one is bigger..one is smaller...I'm totally confused! The bigger 6 looked like the 8 on the other kind brush......so..sizes is different depending on brand..even on the same brands?

I have the same problem buying jeans. And, NO, it is NOT because I have been eating all the cookies and cheesecake in Kammy's Café.

A size 6 should be universal?  I haven’t come across anything like that before.  I wonder if it was a manufacturing error?

You ordered them at the same time or were they different orders all together? Yes, there are many different series of brushes even if the same brand. I ordered a LC ultra round by mistake, not good for plump tear drops, and a 3/0 instead of a 3, but is an awesome ultra fine liner brush. I pay much more attention now when ordering.

And Fessy, save some cookies and cheesecake for me, I need to get plump before the cold season. Smile

okay! I understand that different brand different size..but I thought the sizes are in mm (millimeters) or in (inches) I guess I thought wrong.

I have both LC size 6 rounds..they're both different in sizes lol!

So what is the SIZES based on? if it's not based on millimeters or things like that?

Are they the same series, hair type or handle look, if no then it's understandable that they're different.  Some brushes are longer and shorter within similar series as well, such as I have a 1" script liner and a #1 script liner, and two filberts, one with short stocky bristles and one with longer.  If they are supposed to be the exact same, then maybe a manufacturers error.

A number on a brush is not universal.  There are variants. Check the LC website for info on their brushes.

Still unclear is it the same series of LC brush or are the brushes different series and just the same brand (LC) and number in size (#6)?
