NEED LEGAL ADVISE!

Hey everyone, I recently Just started on trying to finally get my face painting business up and running but I'm not sure exactly what road to take. I know that I definitely want to get insured and get a tax ID # but I have no idea how to go about any of that. Can someone fill me in on what steps I have to take to make it 100% legal? As of right now I been just going to my local flea market every week and setting up my stand there and I have had lots of people ask me about doing birthday parties and events. Any advise on the legal end of this and how to go about it would be great!

I am not an attorney this is NOT legal advice..... Tax ID- You go to the IRS site and request a EIN. Take a few minutes- free. Insurance, find an insurance provider that insures face painters (Entertainment insurance, event insurance, clown insurance searches should yield a few or search here for other providers.) and pay their fee. usually in the $300 a year range. Check with your local (County, City, Province) regarding a Business Tax Receipt if you need one in your area.
