Re: SHOW and TELL #8 - April - June 2014
Yes, no power pill, and that is why the design is being reworked. You'd think growing up amongst PacMan Fever I would have remembered this small but quite important detail. Next version will have a smaller Pac being chased by the ghosties (so they stay colorful, not blue)... I might also be persuaded to do a full face ghostie. Heck, I might just go all Atari and do a full arm mural of my favorites.

I'm totally blown away by everyone's work. It's a bit intimidating seeing this high level but so great to see the amazing talent.
I did some doodling yesterday for some Easter ideas. I came across a pic of something similar on Pinterest but couldn't find the artist to give credit.

Too cute! Yes I have seen the photo you are talking about! I was going to try a few of these for an upcoming Easter event. They are too cute!

nikkili26: I love the vibrancy of your butterflies! The flowers along the bottom are a nice detail
nadinesdreams: Awesome! Very simple, but elegant! I envision that one being quite quick.
Natasha:1. your sisters are cute! 2. omg scary! My heart jumped when I scrolled past your last pic, so good job!!
FacepaintingByTanya: WOW! I really really love what you've done here! It's so original, and the texturing you do really transforms these into beautiful works of art! The day I paint something fantastic, I'll be putting an enlargement print on my wall Cool head BTW!
ForestFairy: I checked out those links, and had never really thought about who does the special effects in horror movies! For some reason, I just assumed it was all digitally doctored. I think you're officially the coolest! Also, I tried your tips for eyeliner on my mask, thanks!! Wolfe black though... eesh take forever to dry!
Clearly I've gone into groupie mode over Tanya and Forestfairy
After having gone through hell week at university (10 page paper, BritLit exam, E-portfolio) I finally got some practice in! I tried something really new with the purple turtle, which was all entirely out of my own noggin. I'm not sure if it worked though, and am very open to suggestions. My purple mask was influenced by a couple I've seen done by Suzie, with the white dots to create a hanging bead effect!
My cousin is the lovely blonde model, who is recently recovered from a major facial surgery! It she seems a bit puffy, that's why

Re: SHOW and TELL #8 - April - June 2014
Hi everyone, I had a gig on Friday, but unfortunately I was so busy I couldn't take pictures. So I can't really show, but I can tell I did have a great line buster: an eye design with a rainbow stroke, some quick stars with a bam stencil, some pink shading on the stars and then lots of teardrops, dots and glitter. Apart from that it was all flowers (at a certain time I had three girls lined up and did them simultaneously, for speed.) (start rant:) I had a huge line, and complete chaos: at first I started out and gave the children a number on their hand, then someone from the organization told me to stop painting because the kids had to watch the show first, thén some kids left, some stayed, and I was sat there with my kit nice and open, and kids around me begging to continue, finally someone else from the org. said I could paint again and voila: the number system was ruined, I had kids waiting for a long time and then some other kid popped back saying “I have number 7”…. So anyway: no pics, bit lots of practice. I think I did around 40 kids in 2.5 hours? I lost count. I've never had to be so fast, and I also had arguing moms for the first time (they were having a row about whose kid was first in line. the line was absolute chaos)(end rant)
And now a mom to be has asked while I was painting last Friday me to paint her bump like a football (soccer)…. *eep* never done that before, but okay (even though a football is not really a creative fun thing to do, if I can be honest!)
nikkili26: I love your butterfly ^^
Codegirl: your rainbow design seems fast as well , cute notes!
nadinesdreams: Snow and ice designs are so cute, I should really add that to my practice list.
glamorface: Nice red swirls, i always use white and/or black out of sheer habit.
FacepaintingByTanya: those ghosts look great, what a lovely idea!
Flourishing Faces: aww, that’s a cute bunny! great idea!
Mellygee911: wow, you really had a good practice this week ^^

Those Roses and Butterfly are Awesome Bountie.
I did some playing around with some stencils and came up with something Frozen themed.
It combines Elsa and Anna.
I still have a lot of work to do on my tear drops and blending.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments about the roses and the butterfly ^^ That’s so great to hear!
Nice Frozen design, Flourishing Faces; great colours.
I took a graffiti workshop with my son, which was very inspiring: I think there is a cool link between face paint and graffiti, and you need a steady hand for both
You can see what I tried out on the wall, and later on my arm. I find the lettering quite difficult, I just can’t grasp the whole shading… But it would be good to have some sort of font up my sleeve so to speak… maybe for older kids, to do a nice arm design… (oh, and guess what name my daughter has? )

cool graffiti Bountie!
Flourishing Faces I love it! Very pretty! I've been playing around with Elsa/Snow Queen designs with my stencils, they are all a bit 'meh' to me. I would these neat plastic snowflakes that i can glue on that are too cool.
