I currently use Wix, and love it! I find editing to be super easy, and can change my whole theme at the click of a button if wanted! Totally suits my needs.

You can check out www.busybeesparties.ca if you'd like to see a self-made wix site in action!

I had A LOT of trouble with Go Daddy, and I don't consider myself computer illiterate. Finding a template I liked was torture, updating my site was even more of a horrible pain. I'm in the process of making a new site on Wix, already I can see how much easier it's going to be!

I have been doing site coding for many years, fially got sick of tinkering with my stuff by hand and did a Wix site for free, just pointed my existing site domain and hosting to the Wix site and boom, done. Don't have to know any code, all WYSIWYG and super fast upkeep and changes. Validates my reasoning to convert my design business to just graphic design and illustration, and retire from web coding Smile mine's at: www.facepaintingbytanya.com

Thanks for sharing, i am now playing with both six and go daddy, and I can see that I get a lot further with WIX before my frustration level gets too high.

I've heard feedback from web clients who absolutely HATE GoDaddy's site builder... I tried Wix because my daughter's HS multimedia class used it to do basic build projects, so I checked it out and was pretty impressed. I've been coding websites for about 15 years, decided in the last couple to phase out because 1) learning new programming languages is not a priority, 2) facepainting is. Smile

Dear ninaschau:
The script headings are just fine.
It is harder to read a decorative font in the body of the type. I caught some spacing issues on one page. I added a double space between sentences, and a few commas and capitals.

Here is a correction:

I have a background in hair and make up, as well as canvas painting. Being around my own children, I found face painting, and discovered it was a natural progression from what I was already doing. I absolutely love face painting, as well as prenatal bellies. Coming to parties and events, working at fairs and festivals, seeing the smiles on childrens faces when they see their transformations, is a great way to work. At Halloween time, I take private appointments to help you take your costume to a new level, and maybe even win the costume contest. There are also other occasions to have a private appointment; a prenatal belly paint, a costume party, a carnival, Mardi Gras, the list goes on. I look forward to hearing from and meeting you.

The double spaces don't show up in this Forum.

I 2nd the vote on the body text being hard to read in the script/stylized fonts. Headings are great with script, body text is too hard on the eyes. The slideshow on every page sometimes conflicts with the body text positioning (overlaps the text, or visa versa). You might want to adjust the layout to do static pictures (sometimes slideshows can be too much of a good thing for all site pages).

thanks again

There are still many typos and misspelled words. One place you have "loook" instead of "look", "weather" instead of "whether", "childrens" instead of "children's", copyright year of 2023 at the bottom, "opennings" instead of "openings", "acn" instead of "can", etc. I recommend reading through it carefully and maybe copying the text into a word processing software that will point out spelling and grammar errors.
