Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
I don't have one, but I've seen several... they take forever to load and because it is flash based, it won't work on any Apple mobile devices.
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
Happy with mine. Easy to use and customise. Free. So no complaints. I have also developed a mobile page for my business.
Apple need to do something about the lack of flash compatibility. I'm keen to get an ipad, but until I can view flash sites with them, I'll spend my money on other things lol!
My site is www.fun2play.com.au
See what you think. Let me know how long it takes to load. I think most people don't mind waiting about 30 seconds, but I'm used to slow connection speeds because I live in rural Australia.

Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
I'm happy with mine & they just added a free mobile phone website option for people looking you up on their IPhones.
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
I don't have one but honestly think - any website is better than no website!!! as you need to be visable and have a place to refer people too.
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
Happy with mine! Their ecommerce package/shopping cart is pretty poor but in general wix sites are easy to build, change and navigate so... cant complain!

Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
OMG i LOVE LOVE LOVE my wix!!! So user friendly and I have never had any problems like it freezing up or anything like that. Plus it looks AWESOME.
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
I have one. I didn't use their template, I created my own and it wasn't very hard at all.
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
I really liked using wix and had almost a whole site designed but I decided not to use it because a web person told me that it wasn't searchable because all of the text is an image. Just a heads up.

Mine comes up as the first listing on google
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
In the past it USED to be that these types of flash web sites were not being indexed by Google, but that is in the past. Wix has optimized everything now so it does show up for Google spiders to cache.... have no fear!
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
Love mine too! So easy, and like Psalmbook said, they added the mobile feature. I don't think it takes that long to load. And again, it's super easy and looks so professional.
Re: Anyone has a Wix website?
I use wix and I really like it. It's very easy to use and it's got TONS of options. You can customize one of their templates, or just do what I did and start with a blank website and go from there.
As others have mentioned, they do have a mobile website option which is nice. The only thing is that it's separate from your regular website so if you update something on your website, then you have to also remember to update the mobile version as well...which I forget to do sometimes. Not a big deal though.
And Wix was made to be search engine friendly. I've just started showing up occasionally on the first page of google (depending on the search term) so I have to play with the SEO stuff some more but it's definitely searchable.
The other free websites like webs, yola, weebly, etc. work well too. I went with wix because it had more design options and the editing interface seemed simpler to me.
