CHAC 2014 in Guelph Ontario

The Canadian Haunted Attractions Conference Body Painting Competition was help in Guelph, Ontario on March 1st. There were 12 amazing entries into the competition. The theme was "Halloween Extreme". The judges were Sean Avram, Shelley Summers (Dotsy the Clown), and Matthew Flagler (CHAC).

I have been stalking a fantastic painter named Cat Cabajar for two years.... and I ran into her just before the contest in the women's washroom. I was surrounded by such awesome painters. The 3rd place winner, Natalie Hooper had never body painted in a competition. Elaine Day did an awesome job, despite the fact that she was had NO model until 9:30pm the night before the competition. Tania Crook Vasilyk is 6.5 months pregnant and her model was 8 months pregnant... Beautiful work. Virginia Barlow had never body painted before and she created a gorgeous, richly coloured work of art. The room was full of people who were so kind.

My model, Christine Watson was fantastic! I believe she really 'sold' my work to the judges. She said she loved the experience and would do it again, in a heartbeat.
I finished in first place!
I was really, really trying to win.
I had a great time.
