Liquid bling/glitter gel question
I'm thinking of adding some red liquid bling/glitter gel to my kit for Christmas designs, to use for holly berries. I've never used it before so I'm just wondering if holly berries out of glitter gel is do-able? Or would having that much in one lump make it slide off or drip, or just take way too long to dry? Thoughts?

Re: Liquid bling/glitter gel question
I'm really not sure about the glitter gel, but I just got some aqua glitter and really like it. A little goes a long way, too much does drip, but it really dries fast in my opinion and has a lot of glitter coverage in one little dab. I bought it for the sole purpose of holly berries, I was planning to practice some designs tomorrow so I'll be sure to post

Suzy Sparkles Glitter Gel is the BEST !
And...I am not paid to say that.
The container never clogs. The tip does not need metal cone like other glitter gels.
The glitter gel does not run down your face. It takes anywhere from 5-12 minutes to set. It flattens out slightly...and still remains raised for that three-dimensional quality.
The Holographic Red is amazing.

^ I've heard SO many good reviews of Suzy Sparkles Fessy, I would LOVE to order it - in fact I have loaded up my cart several times - but unfortunately I'm in Australia and can't justify paying the international shipping at the moment.

Re: Liquid bling/glitter gel question
I love my Suzy sparkles! Let me give you a little tip though. Mine did clog after having them for a long time. So I though I would be smart and take the tips off and wash them, don't do that. For some odd reason now two of them don't deal right when the lids on and they leak into the lid.
Re: Liquid bling/glitter gel question
In winter, be careful about adding gel to designs where it might be rubbed up against by coat collars, etc.
Also, when using with children, apply it as thinly as possible to speed the drying time.
And be sure with kids that they are old enough to handle the "don't touch or rub here for ten minutes" part. Otherwise, a dab of dry glitter suffices well.
With adults, of course, it's an easier time.

Re: Liquid bling/glitter gel question
I had a problem this summer with some of them turning to runny goop.
Re: Liquid bling/glitter gel question
In my experience I like the liquid bling but I only ever use it for birthday parties and I always warn the child that I'm painting that they need to be careful because it takes awhile to dry completely.
My only negative opinion on it is the dry time, but when used for line work/highlights/shadows/dots it works great.
I wouldn't put a big blob of it on their face but maybe if you painted the holly berries red and then added the gel as an accent shadow?
