some pics and a boring November

Hey its been a minute since I've posted..but here I am. :)Question! Anyone having a slow November? I've had no referrals or bookings :(I NEED TO PAINT! I was making decent money every weekend(even more then my hubby working 40hours) I need something to do and can't finish my case if I'm not making $$$$$!!!!

honestly, no. business is still pretty steady. but you are in tx, maybe that has something to do with it?

it's already snowing here-so facepainting is one of the best indoor activities for a party.

Is this your first year? It is VERY common to have work slow down. There are ways to try and pick it up, but if you put in a full summer- and can afford it- Take a break! I'm sure you have earned it.

My 2nd year..I mean everyone else I know is booked for Nov but
It gets depressing seeing everyone else post pics of a busy weekend..my summer was OK..

I know your not spouse to compare your path to others..just gets frustrating sometimes

I know how you feel. My October had one mini festival and I've been free last month and this one so far. I get people wanting me, however I have to turn them down when they ask the week of...Not allowing me to ask for time off ahead of time:(

Yes, slowing up suddenly. I was SWAMPED through Sept and all of Oct. At end of Oct I had nothing booked for Nov., then I suddenly got two parties. But as of this weekend, I have no more bookings. I also noticed that suddenly no one's hardly looking at my website (I can see how many go on per day). I think people are getting ready for Thanksgiving maybe

I guess Nov is a bad month for face painting.. I have one ppf event this Sunday..

It seems the holiday consumerism is hitting stores in record time this year.  I make wreaths every year to help me through the season and I've never had to get started so early! I went off to bother the local businesses and then Boy Scouts had already started ordering in October this year!

So I need to cone up with something for the holiday

November is often slow on the birthday side of things. People are saving & gearing up for the holidays.

There's money in holiday events but most of those are after Black Friday. This is a good month to find some PPF Festivals/opportunities & fill your time.
